Browns vs. Texans: TV Schedule, Live Streaming, Radio, Game Time and More

Eric BowmanNov 2, 2011

The Houston Texans look to extend their win streak to three games, and they shouldn't have much trouble against the Cleveland Browns this Sunday.

These two teams are 3-3 against each other in the last 10 years, but they haven't played against one another since 2008.

The Browns are in desperate need of a win, but with a limited offense they will struggle against a surging Texans team.

With that said, let's take a look at some specifics of this AFC showdown.

Betting Line

The Texans are favored at -11, which may seem high, but they're are far and above the Browns this season. Houston's offense is really starting to click, whereas the Browns are plagued by injuries, which will prevent the Browns from having much success against the Texans.

What's At Stake?

The Browns have yet to beat a quality opponent this season, and they really need to get a win on Sunday because it will be a nice pick-me-up for Cleveland.

For the Texans, this is a game they should win, but in the past Houston has fallen to teams it shouldn't have. The Texans need to prove they are elite by demolishing the weaker teams.

Fantasy Start 'Em, Sit 'Em, Sleeper

Start: Arian Foster

The Texans running back has rushed for over 100 yards in two consecutive games, and he's about to make it three. The Browns run defense ranks 26th in the NFL, and they won't have an answer to slow down Foster.

Sit: Any Texans WR

The Browns rushing attack is weak, but their passing attack ranks second in the nation. Andre Johnson probably won't play, as he hasn't practiced much this week, and Houston doesn't really need him to win this game.

Matt Schuab won't have a standout performance, but he's a must-start almost every week, and he will do enough to put up solid points. However, none of his receivers will have a dominating day, and that's why you should avoid starting a Kevin Walter or Jacoby Jones.

Sleeper: Chris Ogbonnaya

Cleveland will be without Hardesty, and there's no guarantee Hillis plays on Sunday. The Browns love to run the ball, so expect Ogbonnaya to get some good carries.

What They're Saying

The running back situation in Cleveland has been very shaky this season, which was unexpected by some because of how well Hillis played last year. Those firm believers in the Madden Curse figured something was bound to happen, although nobody predicted the Browns' top two running backs would be hurt at the same time.

Hillis will be a limited participant in practice this week, according to Mary Kay Cabot of The Plain Dealer. However, the other Browns beat writer, Tony Grossi, tweeted yesterday a very interesting question.

It certainly would create chaos in Cleveland, but there's no way the Browns will do that. Grossi later tweeted that the Browns signed running back Clayton Thomas.

So forget about Barber because that would just be ridiculous, and the Browns aren't that desperate. Or are they?

John McClain covers the Texans for the Houston Chronicle and he tweeted a very impressive stat about Houston's head coach, Gary Kubiak.

Expect a heavy dose of the run on Sunday. The Browns will keep the Texans passing game in check, but they will have a very hard time stopping Foster and Ben Tate.

Both running backs will be very successful, and Schaub probably won't have to do much throwing on Sunday.

Cleveland Player To Watch

With Hardesty out and Hillis' status uncertain, there is a lot of pressure of Colt McCoy to perform well. The young QB doesn't have a ton of talent around him, but he has to make smart decisions on Sunday or the Texans will make him pay.

Houston Player To Watch

Arian Foster is what makes the Houston offense go, especially with Andre Johnson hurt. He is their best player, and is always a threat for the big play. He excites the Texans fans, and all eyes should always be on him.

Key Matchup

The Browns defensive front vs. the Texans run game is the matchup to watch on Sunday. If they can finally shut down an opponent's run game, then the Browns will be feeling very confident to finish out the season.

Foster is a phenomenal running back, and he will keep the clock moving when he's successful. That will limit the Browns' chances with the ball, which means Cleveland has to find a way to slow Foster down.

On the Hot Seat

Gary Kubiak has to win the AFC South this year, and even though this isn't a division opponent, every game counts. Kubiak and the Texans need every win they can get, but if they lose to a team that they're supposed to easily beat then Kubiak will feel the heat.

Prediction: Texans 34, Browns 13
