WWE News: 3 More Matches to Be Added to Survivor Series 2011
In addition to The Rock and John Cena against The Miz and R-Truth, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that the WWE has apparently finalized plans on three other matches for the upcoming Survivor Series.
They are The Big Show vs. Mark Henry in a rematch for the World Heavyweight Championship, Alberto Del Rio vs. CM Punk for the WWE Title and Sheamus/Randy Orton/Kane/Sin Cara Azul/Daniel Bryan vs. Christian/Cody Rhodes/Sin Cara Negro/Wade Barrett/Brodus Clay in a traditional Survivor Series elimination match.
One would think the "World's Strongest Man" and the "World's Largest Athlete" for the World Heavyweight Championship will have a stipulation added, as this will be their third singles contest on pay-per-view since Money in the Bank in July 2011.

Modern-Day Dream Matches 💭

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
The matches between Show and Henry have been surprisingly intriguing, but for what is essentially WWE's WrestleMania this year, a more novel and compelling match would've been more suitable—perhaps a scramble match or a triple-threat affair with another WWE superstar added.
Del Rio vs. Punk is another match that fails to stir the imagination, as it has been done countless times before and has failed to garner any notable fanfare. From a storyline standpoint, why is the "Straight Edge" Superstar getting a title shot, anyway?
Hopefully, in the next few weeks, Punk will prove to the interim GM, John Laurinaitis, that he is, indeed, deserving of the perception of being the No. 1 contender.
Of the three additional rumored matches on tap for the card—with the exception of The Rock's return tag match—the elimination bout should be the most entertaining, as it includes a mix of the company's most colorful and energetic performers in the ring.
Even The Rock's homecoming—as ripe with anticipation as it is—falls short of captivating the WWE audience as much as it could have. Ideally, "The Great One" and John Cena should've been scheduled to square off against a more reputable tandem of wrestlers in lieu of the "Awesome Truth."
