NFL Week 8 Predictions: DeMarco Murray and RBs Who Will Break Out
So, DeMarco Murray had a pretty good game against the Rams, huh? Raise your hand if you had the smarts to pick up the rookie from Oklahoma for Sunday.
Yeah, you all are liars, as Murray wasn’t even the starter for Sunday’s game, Tashard Choice was. Murray didn’t even get the first carry on Sunday, Choice did. But, Murray broke a 91-yard run on his second carry, Choice got hurt during the game and Murray got to run free against a horrible Rams defense.
So yeah, Murray came out of nowhere to break off a 253-yard day with a touchdown.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
But, he should get the start on Sunday, as Murray and these two other running backs will have huge days in their Week 8 matchups.
DeMarco Murray, Dallas Cowboys
Murray was talked about at length above, but let’s take a look at his matchup this week against a bad Philadelphia Eagles run defense.
This year, the Eagles rank 23rd against the rush, giving up on average 124 yards per game. If, Murray gets the start this week, and he is still available on your fantasy waiver wire, you have to give the RB a spot on your roster.
He will get the ball a lot, as the Eagles are still very good in stopping the pass.
Murray won’t have another 200-yard rushing game, but he will have somewhere around 100-125 yards and one to two touchdowns.
Ray Rice, Baltimore Ravens
Ray Rice was a ghost in the Ravens' loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. He only carried the ball eight times, while his Ravens offense just looked awful.
This week, against the Arizona Cardinals, Ray Rice owners can expect the running back to get the ball somewhere around 20-30 times. The increase in production will make his numbers climb to over 100 yards rushing, 80 yards receiving and two to three touchdowns.
He will not have games like the one against Jacksonville again this year.
Adrian Peterson, Minnesota Vikings
It’s not a rarity for Adrian Peterson to have a huge day, but against the Carolina Panthers, who rank 29th in rushing defense, Peterson will go off for close to 200 yards rushing with two to three touchdowns.
If you have Peterson on your roster, he will win your game all by himself. But, on the flip side, if you happen to be playing against Peterson, your game will not go the way you want it.
Three fantasy options for Sunday, as one guy should be on your waiver wire and the other two will live up to their reputation as the best fantasy players. Give a start to all three, and maybe, you can add Murray to your team.
