Joseph Addai Injury: Updates on Colts RB's Week 8 Status and Fantasy Value
Joseph Addai tried to return too soon from a hamstring injury and aggravated that hamstring. That is what happens when you try to run on a hamstring that is not fully healed. It is one injury you can't rush back from.
Typically, an aggravation of this injury is worse than the initial injury. That means Addai is likely gone for a few weeks. This is all speculation on my part, as there is no official word yet available on his status.
Delone Carter would likely be the starter and primary back in Addai's absence. Carter did well in Addai's absence on Sunday, running for 89 yards on 10 carries. Although it is worth mentioning that with the Saints cruising to what became a 62-7 victory, they had little need to focus on stopping the run.

Update: Wednesday, Oct. 26 at 7:10 p.m. ET
We're getting closer and closer to Sunday, but it sounds like Addai's hamstring is still bothering him. Here's a Wednesday update from ESPN AFC South blogger Paul Kuharsky:
For your information, "DNP" stands for "did not participate in practice."
This is not exactly a surprise, but it is an indication that Addai's hamstring is not feeling any better. Keep an eye on his progress in the coming days.
And for the time being, keep him on your bench.
Update: Monday, Oct. 24 at 3:10 p.m. ET
This update sheds no light on Addai's status, but it does shed some perspective of fans' impression of Addai.
I don't think Addai has reached a Sanders level of injury-proneness, but he is getting close.
