WWE: 7 WWE Superstars I'd Love to See in TNA
There are a lot of guys sitting around in WWE that aren't being used. While a lot of you may think that going to TNA is a horrible punishment, I see it differently.
Sure, it's the "B" promotion on the wrestling circuit, but TNA seems to grow all the time. They've been using recycled WWE and WCW stars for a couple years now, and they receive a lot of heat for it. Why should they?
If these guys and/or ladies are bringing in better ratings, then why not use them?
Currently, these seven individuals aren't doing anything worthwhile in the WWE and would be better off in a promotion where they will be utilized.
Tyson Kidd
1 of 7Tyson Kidd is the epitome of a guy who has all the talent in the world, but is doing nothing.
Since the Hart Dynasty split, he's floated around the WWE, unable to really find a niche. His in-ring skills are far superior than most guys who do get the spotlight.
A move to TNA would give Kidd a real chance to shine. He could be a great heel to join forces with Austin Aries, or he could oppose him. Plus, Aries and Kidd would make a great tag team anyway, as they both portray amazing ego-filled individuals.
WWE is hurting Kidd; TNA could gain a huge X-Division star.
Ted Dibiase
2 of 7I thought Ted Dibiase was turning his career around after his recent angle with Cody Rhodes. As it is, he's fallen right back into obscurity.
I understand that he will more than likely never jump to TNA, given who his father is. Dibiase is pretty good on the mic and has a great presence in the ring; he brings a good combination of speed and power.
It's hard to place Dibiase, as I don't see him ever breaking the mid-card status in any company. Somehow, I just don't see Dibiase as a champion. Perhaps a move to TNA would change my opinion of him as he mows through the mid-card scene there.
Alex Riley
3 of 7Alex Riley is a victim of the WWE system: no new guys will get a real shot at the spotlight until it's desperation time. He's got all the talent in the world in every aspect of the business.
Unfortunately, he can't break into the upper mid-card scene where he belongs, let alone the main event scene where he could be. A switch to TNA would give him more time to be on the screen every week.
I think a showdown between Riley and the Pope would be interesting, as you'd have almost two completely different characters in a showdown. Plus, the Pope would also get some well-deserved time on Impact!
Layla
4 of 7Once Michelle McCool left the WWE and left Lay-Cool to die, we all knew what Layla would become.
She hasn't been seen on WWE programming in quite some time, and I've got no clue why. She held her own beside McCool and isn't nearly as bad in the ring as current stars Kelly Kelly and Eve Torres.
Plus, Layla has a mean streak that she showed throughout her time in Lay-Cool, and all WWE fans loved to hate her. Now that she's out of the picture, she should become a TNA knockout, where the in-ring performances are ten times better than WWE.
Tell me watching her and Velvet Sky fight wouldn't be awesome, and say it with a straight face.
Drew McIntyre
5 of 7Talk about a story of a couple years. Drew McIntyre was once dubbed "The Chosen One" and it seemed that he was destined for glory. He began 2010 in feuds for the Intercontinental title.
Since that time, he's fallen so far out of the picture that I sometimes forget he even exists.
McIntyre is a total package and a lot of WWE fans know it. He had a great character as the Sinister Scotsman and it seemed that just like that, he faded.
In TNA, he'd be an immediate World title contender. It's true, the main event scene is beginning to get real crowded in TNA, but McIntyre's character could really put him over the top there. He can be violent so a feud with Bully Ray would be entertaining.
Jack Swagger
6 of 7The All-American American against the Olympic Gold Medalist? I rather enjoy the idea.
Jack Swagger is really just now beginning to climb back into legitimacy, so this idea looks even more bleak, but the only thing he's done since his World Title reign was be Michael Cole's lackey.
If you'd forgotten Swagger's title reign, I don't blame you one bit. It was less than memorable and he instantly faded back to the mid-card after losing it.
Swagger has gotten better over time on the mic and his powerful ring presence would do wonders for the Television Title in TNA. He would certainly be a competitor for the World Title at some point.
In the WWE, he just looks weak as compared to guys like John Cena and Mark Henry. He'd be a top dog in TNA.
John Morrison
7 of 7John Morrison's story in WWE is no longer a secret. He's being punished for backstage conflicts involving Melina, and has basically become a jobber.
In TNA, this guy could really step up to the next level. His mic skills aren't wonderful, but this guy's style in the ring is unique and he's amazing at moving around the ring. His career in WWE is similar to that of Mr. Kennedy.
Kennedy—now known in TNA as Mr. Anderson—is now a two-time world champion in Dixie Carter's company.
Morrison would be easy to get into the mix in TNA, as he'd be a good guy to bring some prestige to the Television Title. A feud with Gunner or even Samoa Joe would be intriguing.
