NFL Trade Rumors: Kyle Orton and Carson Palmer Won't Be Traded Before Deadline
The NFL trade deadline is at 4 p.m. ET today, and two big-name quarterbacks are very unlikely to be dealt because the market is low.
When the Denver Broncos named Tim Tebow the starting quarterback it set of a whirlwind of rumors regarding Kyle Orton. The Broncos' original starting quarterback could still be dealt today, but it's doubtful that he is traded because of his contract.
Former Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Carson Palmer has long coveted a trade, but Bengals' management isn't going to budge, at least not right now.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The best time for the Bengals to trade Palmer would have been right before the season, but Bengals' owner Mike Brown is keeping his word on not trading Palmer.
Eventually, Palmer will be traded, but it's not going to happen before today's trade deadline. It would make sense for the Bengals to pick up extra talent, especially since they're off to a good start, but if the Bengals ever had even the slightest thought of trading him they would have made it happen earlier in the year.
There's been many of trade scenarios base upon small rumors regarding Palmer, but Brown is very stubborn and won't move the "retired" quarterback.
As for Orton, it may make sense for the Broncos to trade him, but not so much for any team interested in him. ESPN's Adam Schefter explains why.
""Orton is making $8.8 million this season. The Miami Dolphins had some interest during the summer, but they are 0-4 right now and aren't looking to take on so much money in salary for a player whose contract expires after this season."
"
Why trade for a guy you can easily get once free agency begins next year? Those teams that need a quarterbacks aren't really in the playoff picture, and their best bet is to continue losing and hope they land the No. 1 overall draft pick so they can select Andrew Luck.
Sure, the Oakland Raiders are in the playoff hunt right now and could use a quarterback, but how much would Orton help them? He would very little time to learn the system, and there's no guarantee he just jumps in and helps this team win.
It would be a huge risk for the Raiders to make a deal for Orton, especially since the Broncos want mainly draft picks, and Oakland is very limited on those for the 2012 NFL Draft.
It's early in the day, which means a lot can happen between now and 4 p.m. ET, but these two quarterbacks aren't going anywhere because either their team won't make a deal or no team is heavily interested.
