BCS Polls: 5 Teams Who Will Make Biggest Jump in BCS Poll by December
The BCS rankings have finally been revealed, and naturally there are already a few teams that feel they were shortchanged by the computers.
Every year there is always a ton of controversy about what teams deserved to be ranked, what teams didn't, and what teams deserved to be ranked higher or lower.
The same can and will be said in 2011.
There were plenty of teams who should be ranked higher, but crying and whining about it isn't going to do anything.
What these teams need to do is go out on the field and prove they are legitimate contenders.
Here are five teams that will make huge jumps in the polls by the time December rolls around:
No. 10 Oregon
Considering the Ducks have arguably the most explosive offense in the nation, it looks like they may be a little bit underrated at No. 10. Consider the fact that they play in the Pac-12 and should be able to beat just about anybody. I know the big loss to LSU really hurt them to start the year, but putting them behind Arkansas is ridiculous. They will prove their worth with games against Washington and Stanford coming up.
No. 7 Clemson
Clemson is one of the most explosive teams in the country, and they are deserving to at least be in the top five. Looking at the rest of their schedule, they have a good shot at winning out and being the ACC champs, which will shoot them up the BCS rankings.
No. 13 Nebraska
Nebraska already took their beating from Wisconsin, which sets them up pretty nicely to win out the rest of their games. They do have a few challenges remaining on the schedule, but nothing they shouldn't be able to overcome.
No. 4 Oklahoma State
At the very least I expect the Cowboys to jump up one spot over Oklahoma. There is a simple reasoning behind it: I believe they will beat the Sooners. I don't see Oklahoma being able to stop Oklahoma State's offense, and in my opinion that explosiveness is the difference between the two.
No. 12 Virginia Tech
This season has been rather disappointing for the Hokies, but they still have ample time to pull things together. Looking at their schedule I don't see a game that they will lose, with their biggest test coming at No. 22 Georgia Tech. They will be looking pretty good as a one loss team in the ACC.
