Peyton Hillis Rumors: Will Browns' Star's Hamstring Injury Impact Trade Value?
Cleveland Browns running back Peyton Hillis suffered a hamstring injury in the first half of the Browns' game against the Oakland Raiders on Sunday.
The question now is, how will this impact his value around the league if the Browns decide to trade him?
Last season, trading Hillis seemed preposterous, given he rushed for over 1,100 yards and 11 touchdowns, adding 477 receiving yards along the way.

But Hillis' lack of a new deal has caused a bridge between the star running back and the Browns, and Hillis admitted he sat out the team's game against the Miami Dolphins on Oct. 2 because of his agent's recommendation.
Since the news broke, Browns head coach Pat Shurmur has all of sudden said Hillis would receive a bigger workload moving forward. However, Hillis only had six carries in the first half before being held out of the entire third quarter.
It's worth noting that Hillis' hamstring was only "tweaked," so it doesn't appear his injury will be a big problem moving forward, but a tweak can turn into a serious problem if it lingers and Hillis continues to test it.
Generally, the best strategy for a franchise when it comes to situations like this is to table talks for the offseason and hope it doesn't get any worse. Right now, teams know Hillis has become a distraction for the Browns and likely wouldn't give up much to attain him. That's not exactly a great return for a player who excelled last season.
Maybe Shurmur's insistence that Hillis would receive a larger workload was his way of making the running back happy until this all blows over.
The Browns aren't exactly in a position to be getting rid of talented players.
