IMPACT Wrestling: Bound for Glory Full Card and Predictions

Charlie GOct 15, 2011

Direct Auto Insurance and IMPACT Wrestling present the biggest event on the IMPACT calendar, Bound For Glory! The biggest event of the year is LIVE this Sunday, October 16, from Philadelphia Pennsylvania.

This huge event has nine matches, four of which will be for championship gold. The Tag-Team titles, X Division title, Knockouts title and heavyweight championship will be on the line.

Tune in to see wrestlers like Bobby Roode, Kurt Angle, A.J. Styles, Hulk Hogan, Sting, Austin Aries, Velvet Sky and many more in action.

It is the biggest show of the year, after all.

Ink Inc vs. (c) Mexican America

1 of 10

This match will be contested for the Tag-Team Championships and will air 100 percent free on IMPACT Wrestling's Facebook page and preshow.

Ink Inc. has one thing that many other tag teams that fell to Mexican America didn't have: an equalizer. They have some backup.

On the latest episode of IMPACT, we saw Ink Inc. debut a new female member to keep Mexican America's Sarita and Rosita's hands full, so to speak.

Mexican America won the belts back in August at Hardcore Justice and have beaten teams like Beer Money and the team of Pope and Devon.

Neither team had anyone to help keep Sarita and Rosita out of the match.

With Ink Inc.'s newest Knockout addition, expect them to pick up the win over Hernandez and Anarquia.

Winners and New Champions: Ink Inc.

Velvet Sky vs. Mickie James vs. Madison Rayne vs. (c) Winter

2 of 10

Velvet, Mickie and Madison all qualified for this match after Karen Jarrett's "Queens' Qualifier" tournament.

Velvet Sky is the only Knockout in this match who has never held the championship before, and many people see her as the wild card.

I expect this to be almost like a tag-team match, where the faces primarily fight the heels.

In the end, I wouldn't mind seeing any Knockout besides Mickie James walk out as champion.

After this Thursday, I'm unsure of who will win. My two favorites in this match would have to be Velvet and current champion Winter.

Karen Jarrett said Velvet will only become Knockouts Champion over her dead body. Winter, on the other hand, has only been champion since September 11.

Velvet has received the most attention of the four women so I think she'll prevail as the new Knockouts Champion. Let her first reign begin after October 16.

Winner and New Champion: Velvet Sky

Samoa Joe vs. Matt Morgan vs. Crimson

3 of 10

This three-way was added just this past week but certainly has some history to it.

Samoa Joe was dead last in the BFG Series, so he decided to take out the competition and let out his anger. Joe attacked and injured Pope, Devon and Crimson.

Matt Morgan was the only guy to stand up to Joe, and they've been fighting since.

Morgan and Crimson look to be banged up going into the match after all the attacks Samoa Joe launched on them, but Crimson does have one thing in his favor.

He never lost.

This match should be almost like a handicap match. Crimson and Morgan will keep Joe out of the match only to fight over a pin fall or whatever.

When Morgan and Crimson do face off, I wouldn't be surprised if Crimson pulls a win out of nowhere like we've seen from him in the past. Streak intact.

Winner: Crimson

Brian Kendrick vs. (c) Austin Aries

4 of 10

Being that I'm a big "A Double" fan and that I hate Kendrick at the moment, this match should be easy to call for me.

Kendrick is all about respect and honor.

Aries is about winning at all costs.

This match has had little hype on IMPACT in recent weeks but should still be a great one to see. I'm just hoping for a good, clean finish, but that's hard to expect when your moniker is "win at all costs."

I expect Aries to retain and continue to be champion for a long time.

Winner and Still Champion: Austin Aries

Rob Van Dam vs. Jerry Lynn

5 of 10

These two guys squared off at Destination X back in July. Unsatisfied with the outcome, Lynn decided to attack RVD any chance he got.

With the Full Metal Mayhem stipulation added, I think this match could be even better than the previous match at Destination X and really get those Philly fans going.

I have to wonder where Jerry Lynn will stand in IMPACT Wrestling after this match, even if he wins.

All these attacks and brawls where Lynn has gotten the better of RVD are finally going to end, and Van Dam can finally get revenge on the biggest stage they have to offer: Bound For Glory.

Winner: Rob Van Dam

A.J. Styles vs. Christopher Daniels

6 of 10

I think this is the toughest match to call.

A.J. and Daniels are two top TNA homegrown talents. I really wouldn't mind seeing either man win. I'm a fan of both of them.

However, I think this match will have a similar feel to that of RVD versus Lynn. A feel-good story where the hero eventually defeats the villain.

The "I Quit" stipulation will also give the fans something more interesting to watch.

After BFG, I expect A.J. and Daniels to go their separate ways, Fortune members or not.

Winner: A.J. Styles

Mr. Anderson vs. Bully Ray

7 of 10

Anderson versus Ray is another feel-good conclusion to a long rivalry.

Anderson will come out victorious because Bully Ray has beaten him every time they have met: Hardcore Justice, IMPACT, etc.

Bully Ray is always getting the best of Anderson, and it's about time for Anderson to redeem himself. What better stage than Bound For Glory?

Look for this feud to end and Bully Ray to start fighting with Abyss.

Winner: Mr. Anderson

Hulk Hogan vs. Sting

8 of 10

This has been a long time coming. Kind of being built on since March-ish?

Ever since Sting returned March 3, he's wanted one thing: to return to the status quo and rid TNA of the cancers known as Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff.

Hulk Hogan promised Sting a good clean match, but with all the power in the company on the line who can really trust him?

I'm hoping Hogan keeps his word, though, because I, for one, am sick of run-ins during matches.

All the power in the company? Hogan recently resigned a contract for a rumored two more years?

Ah hell, Sting is in far better shape than Hogan, and if Hogan does win, I'm throwing the BS flag and leading all the Philly fans in a riot against Hulk Hogan.

Winner: Sting

Bobby Roode vs. (c) Kurt Angle

9 of 10

This is one of my most-anticipated matches on the card.

Roode has proven himself plenty of times on IMPACT and pay-per-view. We all know how great Angle is, but is Roode really ready?

Roode defeated Gunner, Bully Ray, A.J. Styles, James Storm, Kazarian, Jeff Jarrett and more within a month.

Kurt Angle, to my knowledge, hasn't wrestled since No Surrender, right?

Roode is already being called the next world champ and is basically the current champion without the strap, judging on the reaction he gets.

Now, should he win by pin fall or submission?

He's ready.

Winner and New Champion: Bobby Roode

Conclusion

10 of 10

Be sure to check out Bound For Glory live on pay-per-view Sunday, October 16. Also check out the Tag-Team title match free on IMPACT's preshow and Facebook page.

This is the biggest and best show of the year. Why wouldn't you want to watch?

What are your predictions?
