WWE: How Vince McMahon Has Dropped The Ball On Yet Another Storyline

Sam WatkinsJun 7, 2018

Last week, we witnessed the epic walkout that concluded Monday Night Raw.

Throughout the week, WWE had been building up hype for last nights Raw, and the follow up to the walkout. Many fans (including myself) were eager to see what WWE would do next, as the possibilities were endless.

The show started off brilliantly, with three fan favorites coming to the aid of Triple H. The stage was suddenly set for a long, fun feud between the two sides. CM Punk was on commentary, Cena and Sheamus were wrestling and Triple H was the referee.

Now I know they really couldn't have John Cena and Sheamus wrestle for 125 minutes, but it was still nice to hear Punk on commentary.

When Vince McMahon came out, I naturally got excited...until he started talking. Instead of becoming the representative for the "parking-lot hippies" like I hoped he would, Vince simply fired Triple H and announced John Laurinitis as the interim General Manager.

Suddenly, all hope was lost, as WWE once again took the predictable route.

For weeks the WWE Universe had been aware of Johhny Ace's sneaky doings, and it came as no surprise when Vince made the announcement.

I may just be a whiny member of the IWC, but if it weren't for the IWC, WWE would have no fans.

This stalemate had incredible potential, but WWE once again took the easy way out. Instead of putting someone fresh as General Manager (such as Chris Jericho or Mick Foley), WWE gave us more of the same product we've been seeing for years.

Not to mention an extremely unoriginal Main Event for the Vengance pay-per-view in two weeks.
