WWE Survivor Series 2011: 10 Ways Vince McMahon Should Have Made His WWE Return

Drake OzOct 11, 2011

Triple H was named the WWE C.O.O. for a few months because Vince McMahon was not performing well as Chairman of the company.

Now, Triple H has already been removed from his position, and Vince has already made his return to TV.

Way to completely drop the ball on that one, WWE.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised that the decision was made to rush the living hell out of Vince's TV return, but I can definitely be disappointed by it.

There are hundreds of different ways Vince could have been brought back to Monday Night Raw, and here are 10 ways I would have done it.

Note: I wrote this article before Vince returned on last night's episode of Raw, so these are 10 better ways (in my opinion) I think Vince could have came back.

10. Shane McMahon Returns to Battle His Brother-in-Law, Vince Must Choose a Side

1 of 10

Shane McMahon is no longer working with the WWE, and he appears to be content doing whatever it is he's doing in the business world.

But I've always been a fan of Shane O' Mac, and I would pop big time if he were to return for a feud with Triple H over control of the company.

The basis of this feud would be that Shane is upset that Triple H was given control of the company instead of him, and he would return to try and change that. This would lead to Vince returning as a mediator in the middle of two people he's very close to.

Vince must choose whether to throw his support behind his son or his son-in-law, or to screw both of them over and attempt to regain his job as WWE Chairman by any means necessary.

9. Vince McMahon Starts Chiming in as the Anonymous Raw General Manager

2 of 10

The anonymous Raw General Manager went away without any storyline explanation whatsoever, but the podium and laptop computer still pop up next to the ring from time to time.

This could mean absolutely nothing (which is likely), or it could be a sign of things to come.

Perhaps Vince starts chiming in as the Raw GM throughout each episode of Monday Night Raw. He can make matches, contract signings and things like that, and Triple H will have no idea how to prevent him from doing it.

Why? Because the superstars who walked out of Raw will refuse to listen to Triple H, but will listen to anything the anonymous GM tells them to do.

I'm not really a fan of the anonymous GM, or its physical manifestation in the form of a laptop, but it could be interesting to see Triple H flip out when his superstars listen to a computer rather than him.

This would lead to him calling out whoever the GM is, the "No Chance in Hell" music hitting and Vince making his triumphant return to the WWE.

8. Triple H Voluntary Steps Down as WWE C.O.O.

3 of 10

Triple H comes off as a fighter, not a quitter.

But if he continues to lose control of the WWE and even more chaos erupts, you have to think that he could just throw in the towel and resign as C.O.O.

In that scenario, he could turn heel because "the fans turned their backs on him" when he needed their support the most, or he could get a ton of baby face sympathy for being a helpless boss who was simply thrown into a bad situation.

It's all about how the creative team wants to book it, but I could certainly see The Game—fed up by his failures as C.O.O.—deciding to quit, forcing the WWE to turn over control of the company to someone who already knows how to run it.

Obviously, that someone would be Vince McMahon.

7. Vince McMahon Tries To End CM Punk's Career

4 of 10

Sometimes, absent WWE stars or authority figures return to WWE TV without any logical explanation as to how they were able to do so.

For example, John Cena was able to appear on Raw just about every week last year during his storyline with The Nexus, despite the fact that he had been "fired" by the WWE.

Well, being that CM Punk high jacking the WWE Championship was one of the main reasons Vince was removed from his position as WWE Chairman, it would make sense for Vince to return to feud with the Straight Edge Superstar.

The only problem is that the current state of the WWE and the way the storylines are shaping up don't really provide a great, logical way for Vince to return for a rivalry with Punk.

I mean, would he just return and say, "Hey, I wanna screw over CM Punk?" I don't know.

Then again, the angles on Raw could definitely change, and I think we could see Vince somehow come back and do everything in his power to get rid of Punk (just like he did with "Stone Cold" Steve Austin).

6. Triple H Brings Vince McMahon Back to Help Him Regain Control

5 of 10

This is similar to slide No. 8, but it is slightly different.

In that scenario, Triple H would relinquish his position as C.O.O., and the WWE would appoint Vince to take over the company. But, in this scenario, Triple H would remain in his position and bring Vince back to help him restore order in the WWE.

Vince wouldn't technically have a title, and Triple H would still technically be in charge. But, when it becomes obvious that things run smoother with Vince around, the superstars will throw their support behind him and try to help him get his job back.

In all likelihood, this would lead to a lengthy rivalry between Triple H and Vince, with The Game refusing to give up his position until he puts it on the line once again in a match against Vince's hand-picked representative at Wrestlemania 28.

5. Vince Teams with the Miz and R-Truth and Attempts to Destroy the WWE

6 of 10

What do Vince McMahon, The Miz and R-Truth have in common? They were all unceremoniously fired by the WWE.

Now, I think there's already a very real possibility that Vince is the puppeteer behind Miz and Truth's recent action, but imagine if he began invading WWE shows with them.

I could picture Vince, foaming out the mouth, screaming at Triple H, "If I'm going down, I'm taking the whole company with me!"

Week in and week out, Vince, Truth and Miz would continue to show up at Raw, Smackdown and the pay-per-views with one goal in mind: Ruin the WWE.

Eventually, this storyline would culminate with Team Vince vs. Team Triple H, with the stipulation being that a win for Team Vince gets all three of them their jobs back with the WWE.

4. The Board of Directors Votes to Remove Triple H as C.O.O. and Reinstate Vince

7 of 10

The reason Triple H is your WWE C.O.O. and Vince is no longer with the company is that the WWE's Board of Directors voted to remove Vince from his position as WWE Chairman and replace him with Triple H.

Well, guess what? I think we might experience some de ja vu in the near future.

Of course, it would be completely lazy booking if the WWE decided to fire Triple H the same way it fired Vince, but I've been prepared to be disappointed with this storyline from the get-go.

I wouldn't be shocked in the least bit to see Vince come back after being reinstated by the Board of Directors "as the last hope to save the company."

It wouldn't make sense to bring back the same guy you fired for not performing well to save the company, but come on—you know crazier things have happened in the WWE.

3. The Superstars Vow to End the Walkout Only If Vince Returns

8 of 10

The main disputes of both the NFL and NBA lockouts were over money, but that's not the case with the WWE.

The superstars walked out on Triple H last week primarily because they thought he maintained an "unsafe" working environment, and they want someone who can do a better job of running the company to replace him.

Triple H has said that he will not step down as C.O.O., but what if all of the WWE superstars refuse to work unless Vince is brought back to run the company?

What does Triple H do in that situation? Does he step down, or does he try to fight the rebellion like he is now?

That doesn't really matter, because, either way, this will lead to the vast majority of the superstars throwing their support behind Vince and bringing him back as WWE Chairman.

2. Stephanie McMahon Is Revealed as One Sabotaging Triple H's Reign for Vince

9 of 10

Do you think Stephanie McMahon made those backstage appearances over the summer for no reason? I sure don't.

She may be married to Triple H, and she may not always have gotten along with her father, Vince McMahon. But she'll always be daddy's little girl.

I think Stephanie feels terrible that her father was fired and subsequently replaced by her husband, and it's likely that she's the one pulling the strings of R-Truth, The Miz, Kevin Nash and anyone else who's tried to sabotage the WWE.

The goal is to make her husband look bad so that the WWE brass will decide to bring Vince back to run the company.

This would obviously result in a McMahon family feud with Vince and Stephanie battling Triple H to see who deserves to control the WWE.

1. John Laurinaitis Reveals He Is Causing All of WWE's Problems...Through Vince

10 of 10

John Laurinaitis seems to be the WWE's "yes man"—well, at least he was when Vince ran the company.

It's pretty clear that Laurinaitis isn't the biggest fan of Triple H and that he has a strongly loyalty to Vince, who he's worked for for more than a decade.

I mean, who the hell do you think Johnny Ace is always texting? Vince, of course.

My guess is that every time Laurinaitis gets on that phone, he's receiving a text from Vince, who's telling him what to do to ruin that particular show.

Everything we've seen from Kevin Nash, R-Truth and The Miz was done because Laurinaitis told them to do so, and naturally, Laurinaitis is just relaying the message from Vince.

Once Triple H finds out that this is the case, it's an all-out war between him and his father-in-law.
