Brandon Jacobs Injury: Giants Can Afford to Bench Bruising RB vs. Seahawks
The New York Giants average just 87.5 yards per game rushing the football this year.
The running back duo of Ahmad Bradshaw and Brandon Jacobs has gotten the job done when needed, though (they still have trouble in 3rd-and-short), and the Giants are 3-1.
This week they host the Seattle Seahawks, a team they beat by 34 points on the road last season.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
While neither team is the same; the Giants are still the firm favorite.
Jacobs has seen the rock 17 times less than Bradshaw and has about half the production. He does, however, have two rushing touchdowns and one receiving.
This week, Jacobs has been nursing a sprained MCL. The knee injury has sidelined the 6'4" running back all week for practice, and he is considered doubtful to play.
If there ever was a week where the Giants could afford to sit Jacobs, it is this week.
The Giants defense has the potential to outscore the Seahawks today. Seattle is averaging 8.5 points on the road so far this season, and the Giants aren't going to make it any easier for them.
This trip across the country to Met Life Stadium will pit Seattle's shaky offensive line against what many consider to be the best four-man defensive line in the league.
Even without Justin Tuck, who is also considered doubtful, the Giants' pass rush is a complete mismatch for the Seahawks' offensive line.
Big Blue is fifth in the league in sacks with 12 on the season and they are also fourth in forced fumbles.
The Seahawks, meanwhile, have given up the fourth-most sacks and are also fourth in yards lost.
Quarterback Tarvaris Jackson has an unfortunate tendency to hold the football too long. He is notorious for taking bad sacks, which plays directly into the Giants' hands.
Big Blue also has a ridiculously tough schedule down the stretch.
Nine of their final 10 games come against potential playoff teams, and trips to New England, New Orleans and Dallas will be particularly tough.
If the Giants want their offense to be at full strength for the gauntlet run, they'll see no better opportunity to rest Jacobs. If Big Blue can't beat Seattle without him then they have bigger problems to worry about going forward.
Don't expect to see No. 27 on the field today.
