WWE Smackdown Oct. 7, 2011: What Needs to Happen on Friday

Nathan GieseOct 5, 2011

*SPOILER FREE EDITION*

Although I myself have read through the spoilers for the upcoming edition of Smackdown to be aired Friday, I will try not to give anything away.

Friday will certainly give some more leeway into what's really going on at Raw after the walkout of most of the locker room.  Most of us like to think this is just a smokescreen for something to happen with management, and to further the conspiracy angle that's being played up so hugely lately. We all know the events of Raw, so details are necessary at this juncture.

Here's what needs to happen on Smackdown to keep this story going further, rather making it seem like it never happened.

Further Explanations

Of course, we can expect some sort of backlash from the superstars who walked out, most importantly knowing just how big of a roll that David Otunga is going to play in all of this. It appears he's going to get some kind of a push quickly. Whether it's strictly from a legal standpoint, or in ring, has yet to be fully determined.

We can expect the biggest loudmouths from Monday, like Christian, Alberto Del Rio and Wade Barrett to try to pull some kind of power trip as they look for "Vengeance" from Triple H and his operating job.

Will Triple H do anything to punish those who walked out or will he just hope for the best?  What needs to happen is that he needs to try to accomplish something on Friday to make us believe he cares that they walked out.

Kelly Kelly's Rage

On Monday, Kelly snapped on Beth Phoenix and was disqualified in her tag match with her and Eve, taking on Beth and Natalya.

Kelly has every right to be angry for the way she lost her title, but the way she reacted the night after stunned a lot of people. Even the crowd on Monday didn't really know how to react, because it was so unexpected to see that from the princess. It was so stunning to see her screaming in anger rather than pain that it almost appeared as if we had entered the Twilight Zone.

Now we need to hear the exact reason why she flipped her top and brutally attacked Beth.

Will we get to hear that explanation? Probably not, but it should be coming by Monday at least.

Mark Henry, Big Show altercation

It was advertised this past Monday that Big Show will be returning from an injury he suffered at the hands of the new World Champion Mark Henry. Henry has promised to put Show back on the shelf and make him a second time entrant to the Hall of Pain.

In the past when Big Show has returned from any sort of absence, he makes his mark quickly and with painful intentions on whomever he decides to target.  Obviously, that man just so happens to hold the gold over on Smackdown since he has been out of action.

It's a little ironic that one of the first men Henry took out during his impressively dominant run to the championship is returning immediately after Henry defeated Orton cleanly for the second straight time.

Sheamus is thought to be next in line after defeating Chrisitan, but since it was not a No.1 contender's match that's merely speculation.

Henry and Big Show will meet face to face and it's going to get hot and heavy when these two giants collide.  Whether or not Friday leads to physical violence between them or not remains to be seen but don't expect them to let bygones be bygones.

John Cena, Randy Orton, CM Punk: Voices of Reason?

By now we all know that the three biggest stars the WWE has to offer right now—Cena, Orton and Punk—did not attend the festivities of the no confidence vote on Monday.  In reality, we know that the real life reason is more or less because they didn't want their top stars being booed by the fans, but that doesn't clear up anything when it comes to the story they are trying to tell.

Obviously if those three were to walk out it would make them appear weak as well and getting booed for a reason as rudimentary as unsafe working conditions from their most willing fighters is absurd. Now we just need to know what they will tell the live audience for why they stayed.

Do they truly believe in Triple H, or are they willing to work their way through it?

Do they feel like everybody else is overreacting, or were they just not willing to be associated with the group?

Does the conspiracy exist in their minds and if so, are they still around to fight for what's right?

So many questions can be asked of them and oh so many more possibilities of answers that it's hard to tell where they are going to go with this.  One thing is for sure and that is they are tougher than the walk outs because of their willingness to stay.

Friday's Smackdown looks to have a lot of options. It's possible this whole thing gets cleared up and we can move along with the rest of the year.  More likely though, is that the walk out leaders will have much more to say about the C.O.O. and quite frankly could even call out the small group that did not.

Friday's show looks to be heating up.  As we move closer to Vengeance and Survivor Series, all of these questions should be answered and so many more we didn't even know we had.

Feel free to leave your comments below, but please no spoilers.  Thanks.
