5 Reasons Why Cowboy James Storm Would Make a Great WWE Superstar
Cowboy James Storm, one half of Beer Money, is a decorated tag team wrestler. He is a TNA mainstay, a guy who has been with the company since its inception in 2002.
He is also a star who has all the makings of a WWE Superstar.
Every time he's on the mic, he gets it done. Every time he's in the ring, he does not disappoint. Though he is a featured worker on Impact, he does not rest and never takes a night off.
Storm is a good talent who deserves a big stage to perform on—he deserves the stage of WWE.
While WWE has been notorious for misusing TNA talent in the past, I believe that should he be given the chance, James Storm should sign the deal and do what he does best—entertain.
5. He Has a Good Story
1 of 5The biggest WWE Superstars come from humble beginnings.
It's what makes a guy more accessible, as fans can relate to him and understand where he's coming from.
Storm is the kind of feel-good story that fans can embrace, and appreciate his love for the business. He worked hard to get to TNA, and he has earned the respect of his peers and the fans.
Imagine Storm on the worldwide stage of WWE, with a video of this sort to tell his story. He would get over with fans, establishing himself as a guy who truly loves the business.
Storm would fit right in.
4. He Is Used to Prime Time
2 of 5Storm has always been known as a tag team wrestler, but make no mistake about it, he can more than hold his own in the singles division.
He has also more than held his own, while being involved with the upper crust of TNA, against some of the biggest names of all time.
There's a reason why James Storm is put into these main-event situations, because he can pull his own weight. He would have no problem fitting in under the hot lights, in the biggest pro wrestling company in the world.
I can just picture him getting in the face of CM Punk and saying, "Come on boy, why don't you just shut up and let's fight!"
3. He Can Work
3 of 5Remember when this used to be the number one prerequisite for getting over?
While WWE is all about show business, the fact is that in-ring skill is still very important, and Storm can definitely go.
He has great timing, he has all the fundamentals and he always gives his all in the ring.
Working the likes of A.J. Styles, Sting and Kurt Angle doesn't hurt either.
But Storm knows how to work, and his old-school mat-wrestling style, mixed in with some athletic moves, would place him in good company with the the talent currently in WWE.
2. He Can Talk
4 of 5This is what WWE is looking for.
If you can talk, you have a chance. Doesn't matter how big or how small, fat or thin, rookie or veteran, if you can pick up the mic and make the crowd believe you, then you have a shot.
Granted, it's not the entire package, but being able to stand in front of an audience and sell your character, thus selling yourself, is key in getting over in the business.
In WWE, it's everything.
Some workers have gotten by on just the strength of their mic skills alone, but for Storm, who has all the other intangibles as well, his ability to talk is just icing on the cake.
1. He's Very Entertaining
5 of 5As a complete talent, James Storm is exactly what WWE is looking for.
His down to earth persona, his mic skills and his ability in the ring, all add up to being very entertaining. He knows how to make a crowd laugh, and he knows how to tick them off.
And, he's very good at doing both.
In a company like WWE, which is built on the instant pop, the promo of the moment and the highlight of the hour, Storm is a relevant talent who can get it done on all fronts.
Perhaps Storm is not necessarily meant for the top tier of the company, but if given the opportunity to shine, he would excel and stand out from the rest. He could have a very good career in WWE.
TNA has come a long way since it began in 2002, there's no doubt about it. But, in the world of professional wrestling, instead of being a destination, TNA should perhaps be just a warm-up.
James Storm is warmed up. He's ready. All he needs is the right offer—and if he gets it?
TNA, sorry about your damn luck!
