Tony Romo Injury: Should Fantasy Owners Start or Sit Cowboys QB?
A lot has been made of Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo's toughness or, according to some, his lack thereof.
After returning to the game against the San Francisco 49ers with a cracked rib (or two) and a punctured lung (it was just a small hole, right?), I think we can dispense that worry.
It doesn't help fantasy owners decide if he is a good or bad risk going into tomorrow night's game against the Washington Redskins.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Washington did give up 231 yards and a pair of touchdowns to the Arizona Cardinals last week so they are vulnerable, but those two touchdowns are the only ones they've given up this year. So Romo won't be very likely to score a touchdown through the air.
Also while the Skins don't generate a ton of turnovers, they do have seven sacks. The Cowboys aren't shy about giving up quarterback hits—Romo knows that—so that could spell trouble as well.
On top of it all, Romo will be going out there without a key weapon and with several others banged up.
Miles Austin will not be playing and may not appear again until after the Cowboys' bye week.
Having Dez Bryant available is great but he's been nursing a nagging injury and if it flares up, he could disappear.
That leaves Kevin Ogletree and Jesse Holley as the other options. Holley came up with a big catch last week but we don't know how often he can pull that off and Ogletree is a good, not great receiver.
Jason Witten is also hurt and the big play tight end might be slowed a bit by that.
Finally, Felix Jones is hurt as well, and though he will be playing, how effective he will be is a big question mark.
A tougher than expected defense plus a banged up offense tells me Romo might have a rough day when healthy.
Nursing a lung injury and a cracked rib (or two) makes him too risky for me to start.
If you have another option, use him.
