Michael Vick Injury: Why Eagles QB Playing Is Great News for DeSean Jackson
DeSean Jackson of the Eagles is going to be a go-to guy on the field no matter who the quarterback is.
But when Philadelphia can call on Michael Vick, all bets are off.
Philly is playing the Giants today and Vick, who left last week’s game against the Falcons with a concussion, is expected to play.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The last time Vick and Jackson faced the Giants, they hooked up for a December touchdown that made the Eagles’ season and pretty much spoiled that of the Giants.
The December game was in the Meadowlands while this one is in Philly. But the fact is that Jackson has his best opportunities for signature games when Vick is directing the offense, much as was the case in Week 1 when he went for six catches and 102 yards.
It doesn’t hurt prospects for a big day for Jackson and Vick that the Giants have the No. 24 pass defense and they are coming off a game against the Rams in which second-year St. Louis signal caller Sam Bradford riddled New York for 331 yards.
And while Bradford is good, the overall package with Vick throwing to Jackson, Jeremy Maclin and former New York wide receiver Steve Smith has to be of huge concern to the Giants.
The one counter balance to all that is the Giants’ relatively strong pass rush, which is going to be a factor in most games. But few are better than Vick at negating the rush, last week’s concussion notwithstanding, so the Giants either step up or Jackson will be repeating his celebratory moves in the end zone as he did last December in the game that set up the Eagles to win the NFC East.
