Santonio Holmes Injury: How Is Injured Knee Affecting Fantasy Football Value?
Any question that Santonio Holmes would be able to contribute this week have been erased.
The Jets’ wide receiver had three early catches against the Jacksonville Jaguars, one for a 17-yard touchdown from quarterback Mark Sanchez to start the week’s scoring.
Later Sanchez hit Holmes for an 18-yard gain, and to this point, his knees don’t seem to be ``questionable’’ at all. In addition to banged-up knees, he had quadriceps trouble, none of which is in evidence today.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
New York Coach Rex Ryan was noncommittal about playing Holmes when asked on Friday, and Holmes himself said his participation against the Jaguars would be a game-day decision.
The decision: ``Thumbs up.’’
What that means is that the Jets are showing the ability to open up their offense more. And that’s left the Jacksonville Jaguars in a defensive quandary.
New York pushed its lead to 29-3 after three quarters, and the Jets were pushing toward another field goal to make it 32-3 early in the fourth.
Given the lopsided nature of the score, Sanchez has been mostly content to keep the Jets working short-yardage plays. New York isn’t cranking up its offense—barely 260 yards through three quarters—but four Jacksonville turnovers have made sure the Jets have gotten some occasionally terrific field position.
What this means going forward is that Holmes once again can be ranked as one of the most sought-after wide receivers in fantasy rankings. He’s Sanchez’s favorite receiver, and most of the time, the Jets are going to put the ball in the air more than they have so far against the Jaguars.
