Blackburn Rovers vs Arsenal: Complete Preview, Start Time and Schedule
Arsenal will continue to try and shake the horrors of their 8-2 thrashing delivered from the feet of Manchester United as they take on the Blackburn Rovers in a Barclays Premier League Match.
Arsenal made some moves at the transfer deadline that they hope will shore up their deficiencies. These players took to the pitch as Arsenal defeated Swansea 1-0. And while they escaped with a victory, the performance left a lot to be desired.
On the Rovers side, they are struggling to find an offensive attack. They are fresh off of a 1-1 draw with Fulham, but they were outplayed in this match, and were it not for solid defense and brilliant goalkeeping, they would have lost.

Player to Watch for Blackburn Rovers: Mauro Formica
Formica wasted no time announcing his presence to the Barclays Premier League. He scored in his debut on August 13, 2011 against the Wolverhampton Wanderers. It was the Rovers only goal of the match.
He has quickly become a fixture in the Rovers lineup and will certainly be at the center of their action for this match.
Player to Watch for Arsenal: Theo Walcott
Twenty-two-year-old Walcott has shown a real talent for finding the net. He is dangerous every time he touches the ball and figures to get plenty of chances in this one.
Per Mertesacker will also be worth keeping an eye on. The Gunners brought him in at the transfer deadline and are looking for him to solidify the Gunners' back line.
Key Matchup: Theo Walcott vs. Paul Robinson
Robinson is playing well in the net for the Rovers. He made a couple of brilliant saves in the second half of the Rovers' contest against Fulham to preserve a draw for the Rovers.
He is going to have his work cut out for him in this one, and a lot of that work will undoubtedly come off of the foot of Walcott.
What They're Saying: Arsenal snapped their recent funk, beating Swansea 1-0, but they were far from stellar. This capsule of their game comes to us from Sam Limbert via soccernet.com:
""It would have been wrong of us as fans to expect Arsenal to just go out and win by four or five goals, as the new arrivals didn’t have long to gel with the rest of the team before the Swansea game. Added to that, Swansea were always going to be well organised, and the 8-2 defeat will still have been in the back of some the players’ heads. To be honest, I’m happy to take any sort of victory after the horror showing two weeks ago."

Score Prediction:
Arsenal 3
Blackburn 1
