Tim McTiernanSep 2, 2011

It was reported today that Brock Lesnar is perfectly fine, is not retiring, and will resume training for MMA sometime soon.

Lesnar's return to the UFC will be a long awaited one, as he has been out of action since last October, when he lost his heavyweight title to Cain Velasquez.

Since that time, he coached on The Ultimate Fighter, and was forced to pull out of the end of year coaches fight with a second bout of diverticulitis.

But now that Lesnar is due to return, he can continue his impressive MMA career, and in that light, let's look at the top five moments of Lesnar's career so far.

Coaching on The Ultimate Fighter was a definite highlight of Brock Lesnar's career.

Season 13 featured welterweight fighters and had Lesnar coaching opposite Junior dos Santos. The two were supposed to fight at UFC 131 for a No. 1 contender position. But Lesnar was forced to pull out due to a recurrence of his diverticulitis.

Lesnar trained his fighters very well, as three of them made the final four. Additionally, one of them, Tony Ferguson, ended up winning the whole thing.

Of course, Brock Lesnar's title win had to make this list.

He got his title shot after laying a 15-minute smackdown on Heath Herring at UFC 87.

Lesnar was able to come in and win the title from the legend, Randy Couture, at UFC 91, after TKO-ing him in the second round.

Lesnar went on to defend the title twice, tying the record for most consecutive defenses of the heavyweight title.

One of his defenses was the top moment of Lesnar's career.

1. Defending the Title Against Shane Carwin

5 of 6

When Brock Lesnar took on Shane Carwin at UFC 116, it was billed as the largest heavyweight fight in UFC history, literally. Both men weighed in at 265 pounds, the heavyweight maximum.

Not only was this a big fight size-wise, but it was a very important fight for Lesnar.

Brock had been out for nearly a year, dealing with his first bout of diverticulitis, and many were concerned about ring rust on his part.

Carwin was known as a behemoth in the division, with 12 victories coming by first-round stoppage, and had showcased one-punch KO power.

Lesnar was able to show the heart and determination of a champion, as he survived a first-round onslaught from Carwin, and came back to submit him with an arm triangle in the second round.

This was undoubtedly the biggest moment of Lesnar's MMA career.
