WWE: If CM Punk Leaves, What Will Happen to the New Nexus?

Right now the IWC is going crazy over Phillip "CM PUNK" Brook's shocking shoot promo on Monday, but one thing very few people seem to be talking about is what will become of the New Nexus that was built around Punk as the leader.

Currently David Otunga and Michael McGillicutty are the Tag Champs, and Mason Ryan is out injured.

Ryan's injury happened outside the ring and it is said he could be out anywhere from six weeks to six months. I hope it is weeks and not months because I have become a Mason Ryan fan as of late.

The guy may not be the best in the ring, but he has improved noticeably since joining the Nexus, and his domination of many of the bigger guys in WWE shows that the brass in CT have faith in his ability.

Batista said recently that he does not feel Ryan is attempting to copy his gimmick, and that he likes the younger Welsh star.

This is a big thing because Big Dave has never been known for his kinds words about other wrestlers. He doesn't outright trash anyone that often, but he is never that vocal about who he likes.

The tag champs have a task ahead of them if they indeed have to go away from the Nexus angle. Otunga and Mcgillicutty are both solid hands in the ring, but neither one has had that moments that made people step back and say, wow, this guy is awesome.

Their partnership is one that makes sense. Michael is actually Joe Hennig, son of Mr. Perfect, and Otunga is the well know beau of Jennifer Hudson.

I am shocked that WWE has not tried to get Jennifer Hudson to appear on screen with her man, but then again it may be one of those things where Otunga doesn't want to live off of her name, and if that is the case I respect that.

Mason Ryan will undoubtedly return with new focus, but will his return be to a stable or will he be coming back into the fold all alone?

Nesus has been a decent group, but they are nowhere near as hot as they were months back when they still had Gabriel, Slater and Barrett.

I predict Otunga and Micgillicutty to become a more vocal team here soon and possibly feud with Slater and Gabriel over the belts.
