Lancashire and Warwickshire kept up the pressure on leaders Durham, while Worcestershire picked up their second successive win stranding Hampshire at the bottom of the table.

Durham could only manage a draw at home to Yorkshire after the first day was lost to rain and the White Rose county put up a spirited fightback.

Yorkshire were dismissed for 185 in their first innings as Adil Rashid top-scored with 47. Steve Harmison took 3-27, Graham Onions 3-75, Paul Collingwood 2-22 and Callum Thorp 1-38.

Durham piled on 408-8 declared at 5.24 runs per over with Collingwood hitting 108, Phil Mustard 70 and Steve Borthwick 67 not out. Steven Patterson claimed 3-82.  

Yorkshire survived 82 overs on 280-4, Andrew Gale hitting 101 not out to see the match end in a draw. Other results meant that Yorkshire slipped into the second relegation place having played nine games.

Lancashire have six wins from eight games after a six-wicket win over holders Nottinghamshire at Trent Bridge.

Nottinghamshire slipped to 138-6 in their first innings before Paul Franks (69), Chris Read (58) and Andre Adams's 27-ball 43 helped them to 326.

Sajid Mahmood took 5-112 and Kyle Hogg 4-75.

Paul Horton's 99 and some lower order runs saw Lancashire to 306, Luke Fletcher claiming 5-82 and Paul Franks 4-50.

Nottinghamshire's top order failed again as they found themselves 81-7 but Franks (57) and Adams (51) again came to rescue to post 216. Mahmood taking 5-74 and Hogg 4-44.

Chasing a tricky 237 for victory, opener Stephen Moore scored 124 not out to lead Lancashire to a six-wicket victory. Charlie Shreck's 3-54 proved in vain for the home side. Lancashire were deducted one point for a slow over rate.

Warwickshire are third with five wins and three defeats after a 10-wicket triumph against Somerset at Edgbaston.

Somerset posted 262 first time around, thanks to Marcus Trescothick's 69 and Peter Trego's 58. Boyd Rankin took 4-41 and Chris Woakes 2-66.

Warwickshire piled on 448, including an opening partnership of 202 from Ian Westwood (129) and Varun Chopra (85). Charl Willoughby's 3-109 the pick of the away sides bowlers.

Nick Compton's 95 and Trescothick's 55 helped Somerset to 208 but Rikki Clarke's 4-34 and Chris Metters 3-33 ensured Warwickshire had the upper hand.

The home side knocked off the 23 runs they needed to win by 10 wickets. Somerset are fourth win three wins, one draw and four defeats.

Worcestershire recorded a nine-wicket victory over Hampshire to climb out the relegation zone and leave Hampshire winless after seven games.

The home side amassed 403-8 declared as Vikram Solanki smashed 173. Dimitri Mascarenhas claimed 3-76 for Hampshire.

Nic Pothas hit 60, Jimmy Adams 52 and  James Vince 50 as Hampshire made 239 first time around. Shakib Al Hasan (4-42) and Alan Richardson (4-56) kept the home side on top.

Following on, Neil McKenzie (106) and Pothas (72) helped the away side to 269, but Richardson's 5-58 gave the home side a comfortable victory target.

Chasing 106, Worcestershire reached their target to win by nine wickets with Daryl Mitchell 57 not out. Hampshire are bottom by 31 points, but do have a game in hand on most sides around them.

First play second as Durham travel to Lancashire from June 27 and Sussex face Warwickshire from June 29.
