College Football 2011: Who's Leading and Losing in SEC Recruiting
Recruiting gets bigger with each passing year, and it gets lots of year-round coverage. Now, just four months since the last national signing day, some teams are already closing in on their halfway point in filling the 2012 class. Others are just getting started.
In ranking the 2012 class so far, we will look at the total number of recruits and the numbers of the all important 4- and 5-star recruits inside each team's commitments so far. These numbers were valid as of June 17, 2011.
Keep in mind when you read this, however, that today's 3-star athlete could easily be a 4- or 5-star stud by the end of the season. It's way before National Signing Day, but you can still get a solid look at which teams are doing well and which aren't.
Bottom of the Barrel
Tennessee: Derek Dooley performed a small miracle getting Tennessee to a bowl last season, yet recruits still aren't flocking to Tennessee.
Tennessee has only got three commitments right now, and just one of those is a 4-star.
