NFL Trade Rumors: Why Kevin Kolb to the Arizona Cardinals Is a Sure Thing
There are now multiple reports speculating that Kevin Kolb to the Arizona Cardinals is all but a done deal.
Kolb has made it clear that he wants to start, and recently Andy Reid has made it clear that he is going to do everything in his power to make sure Kolb gets his wish.
The universal belief is that Kolb will be starting in Arizona next season.
Really, the only thing holding that statement back from becoming a reality is the current lockout.
Here are five reasons why the Kolb to the Arizona Cardinals is a sure thing.
5. Whisenhunt's Job Security

The NFL is a win now business.
It doesn't matter what you did last year or how many Super Bowls you won during your tenure. If you fail to win now, your time is limited as a head coach.
Ken Whisenhunt has quickly found himself on the hot seat.
He needs to make a move and take a chance. The move needs to be big, and it needs to result in wins.
The best big move he can make is to get Kevin Kolb to wear cardinal red.
4. Keep Your Stars Happy

Larry Fitzgerald made it pretty clear that he would love the opportunity to play with Kolb.
Whisenhunt responded to the statement by telling the media that Fitzgerald doesn't make the decisions for the organization.
Sure, that's what they tell the media, but it's not true.
You can't tell me that you aren't willing to consider the statement from the best player on the team's roster.
Let's face it, you want to keep the stars of the team happy. I'm sure Whisenhunt and Fitzgerald have discussed this matter behind closed doors.
3. The Team Needs a Quarterback

Well, this one is pretty darn obvious.
Really consider it for a second though. The current roster consists of Derek Anderson, John Skelton, Richard Bartel and Max Hall.
If the team doesn't get somebody they will, without a doubt, be the worst team in the NFL in 2011.
The team passed on taking a quarterback in the 2011 NFL Draft.
They also recently shot down rumors that Donovan McNabb could end up with the team.
That leaves very few options, and the best one is by far is Kevin Kolb.
2. Little Interest Elsewhere

The interest for Kolb has dropped dramatically now that we have passed the 2011 NFL Draft.
There used to be a list of roughly 10 possible candidates in a Kolb trade.
Now, it's down to Seattle and Arizona.
Seattle has already invested quite a bit in Charlie Whitehurst. They will likely take a chance with him this year.
That leaves just one team.
1. All the Experts Are on Board
5 of 5
There are some occasions where the experts get it wrong.
Usually when this happens, it's one particular individual that makes a mistake.
That doesn't seem to be the case here.
It seems that almost every expert is now on board with this transaction. Everybody from Adam Schefter to Peter King has stated that this trade is all but a done deal.
I'm willing to take their word for it, are you?
