WWE: 5 Issues the Company Has That Need To Be Changed
Hello fellow Bleacher Readers. I've read many articles lately about WWE. There are many issues that have been said but the ones in these slides annoy me the most.
Trust me, I am a big professional wrestling fan. I've watched it basically my whole life and started (as much as I can remember) in 2001, a little bit before the "WWF" began their Invasion storyline. A lot has been changed since those days and there are some annoying habits about the company that should be changed.
Note: This slideshow talks about their booking of matches and storylines. It doesn't really doesn't cover the wrestlers much.
1. Stop Being Too Predictable
1 of 6
This is something everyone that watches WWE should know.
This is something the company is very good at: being too predictable. Everyone should know that John Cena will win the majority of his matches. Everyone should know that the Raw GM or Teddy Long will make a tag team match when there are wrestlers fighting in the ring during a segment. Everyone should know that John Cena will fight back and stand tall when he is getting beat down.
The only time we are surprised is when Cena doesn't win a WWE championship match.
2. Ending Matches in a Disqualification
2 of 6
This pretty much follows up on my previous slide.
When a face is about to put away his heel opponent, everyone should know that the heel will have allies that will run in and cause a disqualification. I understand that WWE might want to continue a storyline but this happens way too much.
This also makes their superstars look weaker by losing due to disqualification. It is worse than losing cleanly. This happens at least once every episode of WWE programming (except WWE Tough Enough).
3. No Storylines
3 of 6
Aren't you tired of WWE having feuds that have no excitement to them? Without storylines, you are pretty much just watching the same episode of Raw or SmackDown week after week. A storyline can help a feud keep moving and stay interesting.
4. Use of Championships
4 of 6
Back in the day, titles really meant something. Now, they are just props.
The only thing that the WWE has done recently with their titles is having them defended somewhat. Other than the world titles, the tag team titles are the only titles being defended. Plus, one title is defended against the same challenger at least three times if not more.
I know it can happen but at least put on some good matches.
5. WWE Draft Changes
5 of 6
WARNING: This slide contains WWE SmackDown spoilers for tonight.
It was tough trying to fit this in the slideshow since the draft happens only once a year. Since the 2011 draft happened a month ago, there were some problems.
On SmackDown tonight, Sheamus will defeat Christian and Mark Henry to become the No. 1 contender for the world heavyweight champion. This means we will see Sheamus and Randy Orton for, what—the 100th time?
How many PPVs in 2010 did Randy Orton face Sheamus in the Raw Main Event? Royal Rumble, Elimination Chamber, Fatal Four-Way, SummerSlam, Night of Champions and Hell in a Cell.
I understand that Elimination Chamber and Night of Champions were in six-man matches. They faced numerous times on Raw. Now, we must see them face once again. That might really make people want to order Capital Punishment.
The point I'm trying to get across is that the draft is supposed to mean changes. Yet, how many matches are we seeing once again? Alberto Del Rio vs. Rey Mysterio, Drew McIntyre vs. Kofi Kingston, Sheamus vs. Daniel Bryan.
If the draft is to shake things up, then do it.
The End

Look how happy they are.
All of us could name dozens of issues that the WWE has but these are related to the booking of their matches and superstars.
Most people probably thought my first slide would immediately mention its rating. A show with a PG rating can still be interesting. Ever think about that? Anyways, I know I might get a lot of comments about other issues but remember, these are related to their booking of matches and superstars.
Thank you for reading.
