Liverpool FC: Dani Pacheco Staying at Norwich Is the Best Move for All Involved
Daniel Pacheco has reportedly said that he "would love to come back here[Norwich] if I'm not going to get games at Liverpool."
This would be the perfect situation for both Liverpool and Norwich as well as Pacheco himself. Pacheco has had an impressive stint in the Championship helping the team gain automatic promotion to the Premier League next season. He scored twice in six games and didn't look out of place in the side once.
The versatile attacking midfielder/forward who has been capped at multiple youth levels for Spain won't be 21 until next calendar year (05/01/2011). He has wowed fans at Liverpool since he joined the club in 2007 with his impressive displays in the reserve team.

Pacheco was so highly thought of that he was moved up to the reserve team full time when he still qualified for the youth team. A youth team that eventually reached the FA Youth Cup final in 2009 but lost out to Arsenal.
He struggled to get games for Liverpool before leaving on an emergency loan to join Norwich this year. Pacheco is still very young but is not so young that he shouldn't be getting first team football. He likely won't get that next season at Liverpool which would hurt his development.
Physically, he still needs to bulk up to play in his favored central role for a team that has Champions League and potentially title aspirations. While he would still have the same struggles on the field at Norwich, Pacheco would likely get more opportunities to get on the field.
Players such as Tom Cleverley and Daniel Sturridge have excelled this past season in the Premiership. Both players are only a matter of months older than Pacheco. Pacheco has enough talent to play in behind the striker or on the wing for a team like Norwich on a regular basis.
Norwich have some good footballing players in their team with players like Andrew Surman, Grant Holt and in particular Wes Hoolahan in the side. Pacheco would not be going to a team that is incapable of playing to his strengths. Norwich will get the ball down and pass it and allow him to gain confidence at the Premier League level.
The idea that Pacheco would get this opportunity at Liverpool isn't realistic. Even though youngsters like Martin Kelly, Jay Spearing and John Flanagan have come into the side in recent times and been brilliant Pacheco hasn't got the same physical presence of those players.
To an extent Kelly, Spearing and Flanagan have only played so much this year because of the poor play of the players ahead of them or injuries. For Pacheco to get on the field someone like Luis Suarez or Dirk Kuyt would have to drop to the bench, and that doesn't look likely.
Everyone could see that a guy like Paul Konchesky was inevitably going to be sat on the bench or thrown to the Championship, not many people expect Suarez or Kuyt to follow him.
Daniel Pacheco will return to Liverpool in the summer and try to force his way into Kenny Dalglish's plans. However, his best bet at doing that may be to leave the club for a season. Just look at how highly Manchester United now rate Tom Cleverley and Danny Welbeck.
Pacheco may have to star somewhere else in 2011 if he is to shine for Liverpool in 2012 and beyond.
