Manny Pacquiao Video: Watch How Manny Celebrated Win Over Sugar Shane Mosley
There's a Manny Pacquiao video making its way around the sports world today, after the boxer took to the stage to celebrate his demolition of Shane Mosley on Saturday night.
Many fighters would celebrate a victory like the one Pac-Man scored over Mosley, in which he dominated the 39-year-old fighter for 12 full rounds, with a party, or a night on the town. But, Manny being Manny, he opted to do an impromptu concert, flexing the golden pipes for his adoring fans.
This isn't the first time Manny's gone out and given a concert for his fans; after each of his last few fights, Pac-Man has quickly hosted a massive concert to give fans a taste of his singing skills.
This time, Pac-Man ended the concert with a stirring rendition of "La Bamba," a classic made famous by Ritchie Valens back in 1958.
Pac-Man's been doing his best Justin Bieber impression in recent months, releasing an album as well as being the subject of a potential documentary about his creative process. Of course, the album has been well-received (relatively well-received, at least, compared to what it probably should have gotten), but that may just be because critics are terrified of Pac-Man coming and knocking them out for not liking his singing.
Frankly, Pac-Man's not the worst athlete-musician in history, a title held for life by Carl Lewis (and maybe the 1986 Chicago Bears), but he's not exactly Ritchie Valens, either.
Typically, I'd make a crack about how next time, Pac-Man should just stick to boxing, but given the beatdown he laid on Mosley, I feel like we can excuse some bad singing at a concert at this point. If he wants to do it, and people want to listen, who are we to judge?
But, something tells me Pac-Man had better not count on his musical career to pay the bills when he hangs up his gloves.
