Just Stop! the Worst Singers and Rappers in Sports History

Kelsey GivensMay 4, 2011

Athletes of all shapes, sizes and backgrounds in the professional world of sports are known mainly for their ability or talent.

However, it seems some may think they should be known for other things they love to do, like singing or rapping.

Just because they have a lot of talent in one profession that involves skill doesn't mean that natural ability will carry over to another.

Here is a list of 25 of the worst singers and rappers in sports history.

No. 25 Shaq

1 of 25

You have to give the man props for creativity, but his out-of-tune rendition of this famous song is hard on the ears.

Maybe Shaq should just stick to what he's good at.

No. 24 Gazza

2 of 25

This video is not only hard to watch, but it's hard to listen to as well.

For such a talented soccer player, his talents don't seem to have carried over into the world of music.

No. 23 Jeff Conine

3 of 25

He may be a great baseball player, but his vocal talents don't seem to be on the same level.

At least he picked a song that sort of suited his not so talented voice.

No. 22 Kevin Keegan

4 of 25

This well known football player seems to have made a not so good name for himself in the music industry with this awful song.

No. 21 Muhammad Ali

5 of 25

This awesome fighter is one of the most well known and recognizable fighters in the history of sports.

His voice, however, may not live up to the same reputation as his fighting abilities.

No. 20 John McEnroe and Pat Cash

6 of 25

These two put this song out for a good reason, but they don't have the greatest rock song voices in the world, which is what landed them on this list.

No. 19 Danilo Gallinari

7 of 25

You have to love these NBA karaoke videos. None of these guys can really sing all that well, but they try anyway just to please you, the fan,

No. 18 Joe Frazier

8 of 25

While not the worst on this list, his voice certainly isn't the most pleasing to listen to.

No. 17 Basile Boli and Chris Waddle

9 of 25

These two should have just kept this song to themselves.

No. 16 Terry Bradshaw

10 of 25

It seemed everyone and their mother was trying to dabble in both the worlds of sports and music during the time of Terry Bradshaw.

Just because everyone is doing it doesn't mean Bradshaw should have followed.

No. 15 Jason Kidd

11 of 25

While his vocal talents aren't intolerable, the content of his rap is just laughable.

No. 14 John Daly

12 of 25

You have to give the man credit for trying, but this song is just not up to par with the standards of good music.

No. 13 Kobe Bryant

13 of 25

I wonder how loud the music was in this room to make people think this was a good song?

No. 12 OSU Basketball Players

14 of 25

As adorable as this video is, it's so hard to listen to.

These kids should probably just stick to the three-point line and leave the singing to the professionals.

No. 11 Ron Artest

15 of 25

Ron Artest made this tribute song for the late Michael Jackson. Maybe he should have just kept his talents focused on the court.

No. 10 the Celtics

16 of 25

It's clear these guys were trying to entertain the crowd, but they most likely only hurt their ears.

No. 9 Carmelo Anthony

17 of 25

From this short clip, one thing is obvious, Carmelo should definitly stick to playing basketball and leave the singing to the professionals.

No. 8 NBA All Stars 2010

18 of 25

Warning! This video montage of NBA All Stars may hurt your ears.

While it seems the video was made for humor purposes, its bad vocals land all of its participants on this list of the worst singers and rappers in sports.

No. 7 Hulk Hogan

19 of 25

This video is bad enough without the sound, but adding the sound makes it even worse.

No. 6 Deion Sanders

20 of 25

Whoa there, Primetime, we know you like yourself, but rapping about yourself with such a poor voice may not have been the best way to get others to feel the same.

No. 5 the Calgary Flames

21 of 25

It's hard to classify a team as a whole as a horrible group of singers, but that's the case with this song put out by the 1989 Flames team after winning the Stanley Cup.

No. 4 LeBron James

22 of 25

You have to give the man credit, you can tell he knows he's not the best singer in the world. But his randition of "Staying Alive" is pretty entertaining to say the least.

No. 3 Ray Allen

23 of 25

He may be a great basketball player, but apparently singing is not his strongest talent.

No. 2 College Football Players

24 of 25

While they aren't all the world's worst singing, some of the guys in this video definitely give the other athletes on this list a run for their money.

No. 1 Carl Lewis

25 of 25

Singing the National Anthem is hard for anyone, and it seems it was especially hard for Carl Lewis before this NBA game.
