2011 WWE Draft: 10 Names Potentially Headed for a Change of Scenery
The WWE draft is just a few days away, which means one of the most exciting editions of Raw will come to us live from Raleigh, N.C., Monday night.
The draft is a chance for a fresh start for superstars running stale, as well as a chance for superstars to reach the next level in their careers with a fresh set of feuds.
Who will be on the move Monday night?
What major moves will we see in this year's iteration of the talent switch?
Let's take a look at 10 superstars who could be on the move Monday night.
The Miz
1 of 10
Friday night's may be awesome come Monday night.
According to F4WOnline.com, The Miz is heavily rumored to be switching brands.
The move makes sense, as The Miz's only real feuds on Raw are with John Cena and Randy Orton. We've all seen those matches before, and it seems WWE realizes this.
But the lack of top-tier faces on SmackDown is alarming. The only established face on Friday nights, following Edge's retirement, is Rey Mysterio. One would think WWEs creativeness would balance out the power of each show's main event picture Monday night.
Alberto Del Rio

It looks like Alberto Del Rio will fulfill his destiny to become the World Heavyweight Champion...on Monday nights.
The same F4WOnline report that has The Miz possibly moving to SmackDown states Alberto Del Rio may very well be on his way to Raw, with the World Heavyweight Championship in town.
The move makes sense on a couple levels. First, it gives Raw a world champion. As past drafts have taught us, if one world champion switches brands, the other will be as well.
Second, it gives Del Rio even more exposure. Del Rio is on the path to the top, and, according to the F4WOnline report, is set to face John Cena for the World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam.
Finally, moving Del Rio to Monday nights gives the WWE a chance to capitalize on their recent initiative to expand their audience in Mexico. Del Rio could feud with Sin Cara, who was better known as Mistico while wrestling in Mexico.
Undertaker
3 of 10
The Undertaker may not be a full-time wrestler, but with his legendary career likely coming to a close in Miami next April, it may be time The Deadman finally comes back to Monday nights.
More important, the rumored WrestleMania rematch between Triple H and Undertaker would make more sense with Undertaker competing on Raw. Brand lines have been blurred before in feuds like this, but it simply makes more sense to have The Undertaker and Triple H focus on each other, on the same show, leading into their potential rematch.
Sheamus
4 of 10
Once upon a time, Sheamus was a wrecking ball on Raw. Now, he's holding a championship that hasn't mattered in some time.
If WWE wants to get Sheamus back into the main event picture, he needs to do it on Friday nights. SmackDown would also benefit from having an Sheamus, a two-time WWE Champion, to bolster its razor-thin main event picture.
Sheamus could enter feuds with Rey Mysterio and Christian upon landing on Fridays. He would also be able to work with some of the younger talent in need of a feud with an established superstar.
John Morrison
5 of 10
If it seems to you that John Morrison has switched brands in every recent WWE draft, it is because he basically has. Morrison has changed brands in three of the last four WWE drafts.
His fourth move in five years would be the most beneficial. A return to SmackDown could give Morrison the opportunity to recreate matches like the one depicted in the accompanying picture.
Morrison seems closer than ever to the main event, but he seems to be bumping into a glass ceiling on Monday nights. Randy Orton and John Cena are the premier faces in the company, and there may not be room on Raw for Morrison.
On the first Raw of 2011, Morrison proved he could compete at a level necessary to be in the world title picture. Many members of the Internet Wrestling Community may finally get their wish Monday night when Morrison moves to SmackDown and makes his official arrival in the WWE Championship picture.
Drew McIntyre
6 of 10
Vince McMahon called Drew McIntyre "The Chosen One."
After a hot start to his WWE career, McIntyre has faded into obscurity on SmackDown. There are a plethora of new opportunities on Monday nights, where McIntyre's return to prominence could restart.
McIntyre could debut in a feud with Sin Cara atop the midcard. After that feud concludes, a program with Randy Orton would be a major step forward for McIntyre. Working with Orton would give McIntyre the type of attention and momentum he would need to become a permanent player in the main event.
Daniel Bryan
7 of 10
Believe it or not, Daniel Bryan is still employed by WWE.
After a long run with the United States Championship, Bryan has fallen into no man's land. He was mired amidst the quasi-feud between The Bellas and Gail Kim. Now, he barely makes it onto Monday night's programming.
It's time for a fresh start for Bryan, and the WWE draft is all about fresh starts. The most logical feud for Bryan is one with Wade Barrett, providing a call back to the days when Bryan was a member of The Nexus.
Michelle McCool
8 of 10
The LayCool angle has run its course, and few are buying into the couples therapy Michelle McCool and Layla go through on SmackDown.
A LayCool split will likely send one of two Divas to Raw, and McCool would be the best choice. There really isn't an established heel Diva on Raw, and McCool could fill that void.
There has been at least one Diva change brands on the televised portion of the WWE draft in three of the last four years. If that pattern is to continue, look for the former Divas Champion to head to the red brand for a new set of feuds.
Jack Swagger
9 of 10
It remains to be seen what will happen to the former World Heavyweight Champion once his involvement with Michael Cole comes to an end.
Swagger's pairing with Cole, one of the hottest heels on WWE programming, may return Swagger to relevance and potentially send him back into the world title picture.
As per the norm, a trip to a new show provides a set of new feuds. Those new feuds may be exactly what Swagger needs to return to prominence in WWE.
Ted DiBiase
10 of 10
It's now or never for DiBiase.
If anything is to come about the career of Ted DiBiase Jr., a move to SmackDown is vital. Even the mid-card is too crowded for DiBiase to make a splash, and with a depleted midcard on Friday nights, DiBiase could finally return to relevance.
The window for DiBiase to make a name for himself in WWE is quickly closing. We may soon come to find that it is younger brother Brett, and not Ted, Jr., who received their father's impeccable pro wrestling qualities.
