WWE: Edge, Christian, and the Top 10 Feuds Coming out of WrestleMania 27
As we approach the "moving forward" stage in WWE, new feuds have materialized while some current feuds have evolved.
After a full week of WWE TV, it has become apparent who WWE plans to book together in programs as the dreaded post-WrestleMania lull season comes to fruition.
Based on the progression of the television product coming off WrestleMania 27, and with only a few weeks until WWE Extreme Rules, the following are projected to be the Top 10 high-profile feuds that WWE will feature going forward.

10. John Morrison vs. Dolph Ziggler
1 of 10
While Dolph Ziggler and John Morrison were on opposite sides in their celebrity attraction tag team match at WrestleMania 27, they pretty much fell by the wayside in the grand scheme of things.
Ziggler and Morrison furthered their feud with a mixed tag team match that saw John Morrison and Trish Stratus defeat Dolph Ziggler and Vickie Guerrero.
With the match likely Trish Stratus' swan song, and with Snooki suddenly retiring from in-ring competition at the moment, the dust has now settled for a serious one-on-one feud between Morrison and Ziggler.
With Extreme Rules approaching, perhaps the two could have a ladder match where the winner must capture "It." Lord knows neither of them have "It" at the moment.
9. Awesome Kong vs. ???
2 of 10
Awesome Kong's imminent debut with WWE has been delayed to the point of frustration. At the risk of sounding entitled, Kong has been under contract with WWE for quite some time and her debut should come sooner than later with WrestleMania season out of the way.
Awesome Kong should add immediate value and a much needed spark to the Diva's division upon entry. As far as a Gail Kim vs. Awesome Kong crowd is concerned, I've got two words for ya: cool it.
WWE doesn't give a damn about anything Kong or Kim may have done in TNA, and it is likely that they have their own plans for the powerful, soon-to-be Diva.
8. Sin Cara vs. Jack Swagger
3 of 10
Sin Cara made a much more polished appearance on WWE TV, under the welcoming confines of taped TV, when he attacked Jack Swagger on SmackDown!
Cara crashed a high profile segment that featured a promo with Jack Swagger and Michael Cole, making a debut feud between Swagger and Cara seem inevitable.
However, with Cara initially attacking Sheamus on RAW, and with Sheamus currently being more expendable than Swagger, a feud with Sheamus may be more viable.
7. Sin Cara vs. Sheamus
4 of 10
What better way for Sin Cara to make an immediate impression on the WWE Universe than with a feud for the United States Championship?
Poor Sheamus seemed as if he was in the clear and on his way back to heavyweight championship contention.
However Sin Cara's surprise appearance-turned-attack, following Sheamus' win over Daniel Bryan, may mean more hard times for the Celtic Warrior.
A feud with Sheamus may be more productive in getting Sin Cara over, as A. SmackDown isn't big enough for both Rey Mysterio Jr. and Sin Cara, and B. Sin Cara will come off as a bigger deal on RAW.
6. Cody Rhodes vs. Rey Mysterio Jr.
5 of 10
Cody Rhodes has done an excellent job in accelerating the development of his character from comedic, cocky heel to dark villain.
Rhodes' victory at WrestleMania 27 in a standout match with Rey Mysterio signified that this feud would continue.
A match at Extreme Rules should give both Mysterio and Rhodes more to work with creatively, and we could even see a "Mask vs. Mask" match sometime down the road.
5. Edge vs. Alberto Del Rio
6 of 10
The second match between Edge and Alberto Del Rio was set for Extreme Rules following Del Rio's victory over Christian.
Many expected Del Rio to go over at WrestleMania, thus becoming the new World Heavyweight Champion.
However, with Del Rio getting another shot at the World Championship at Extreme Rules, the expected WrestleMania scenario of Del Rio becoming World Champion after Christian turns on Edge could play out.
4. Edge vs. Christian
7 of 10
An Edge loss to Del Rio following a screwjob finish, due to a Christian heel turn, would give way to a much anticipated feud between Christian and Edge.
The feud between the childhood friends was gently teased on Friday's episode of SmackDown when Christian ogled Edge's World Championship title.
Christian's frustrations of not capturing the World Championship would be an easy platform to use for a heel turn, and a feud with Christian would be a viable next step for Edge while younger, up-and-coming babyfaces challenge Del Rio for the World title.
3. Michael Cole vs. Jerry Lawler
8 of 10
Michael Cole's uber-heel antics on RAW ensured that his feud with Jerry Lawler isn't even close to being over.
One of the overlying disappointments of WrestleMania 27 was that Cole didn't get his proper comeuppance, with the RAW announcer technically being declared the winner of a bad match with Jerry Lawler following a reversal of decision by the anonymous RAW GM.
Throw in some bar-b-q sauce, a stained Jim Ross suit, an eye flush, and Swagger's ankle lock on Lawler, and Michael Cole has all of his heel heat back and then some.
A match with Jerry Lawler in an "Extreme Rules" format would be the perfect arena for Cole to once again reap what he sows.
If WWE continues to book this feud between Lawler and Cole on TV properly, an Extreme Rules match between the two would be salivating.
2. John Cena vs. the Miz
9 of 10
Forgetting about Cena's befuddling, and possibly erroneous, remarks about not wanting to face the Miz again, John Cena confirmed his continuation of a babyface chase on his twitter account with the following tweet:
""
"CeNation. Well rock. U got a year to get ready. Me...ill be in bridgeport mon with my sights set back on the Miz. I can not wait."
The continuation of a feud with the Miz was academic upon Miz going over at WrestleMania, but all signs are pointing to the Miz holding the WWE Championship for the long haul.
Should Miz be victorious in his next match with Cena, it will be interesting to see how strongly he is booked in victory.
1. John Cena vs. The Rock
10 of 10
This will be the feud that WWE will be stuffing down our collective throats for months.
WWE has never announced a WrestleMania match one year in advance. And while WWE has been prone to conveniently (and at times blatantly) forgetting its storied history, I have a feeling that they will be promoting Cena v. Rock every chance they get, if not to remind the Rock indirectly that he has an obligation to appear in Miami at WrestleMania 28 one year from now.
Long-term booking has become a lost art during the weekly TV ratings era of WWE, so it will be interesting to see how the company goes about spreading out the Cena-Rock hype.
Hopefully, we are sprinkled with just the right amount of hype so that we don't forget about this mega-feud, nor are we over-saturated with it.
