Los Angeles Dodgers Hosting a Fan Rally Sunday Night at Dodger Stadium
After clinching their third National League Western Division title, the Los Angeles Dodgers have announced that on Sunday, Sept. 28, there will be a free fan rally from 6-8 PM at the stadium.
Capping their 50th anniversary celebration, the Dodgers will be appearing in the postseason for the 16th time since moving to Los Angeles and 25th time in the history of the Dodger franchise.
Sundays' event includes former Dodgers, musical entertainment, and a welcome back from San Francisco for the National League West Champions (provided the game and travel circumstances allow).

The rally includes free parking, free admission, and special pricing of $2 for Dodger Dogs, soft drinks, peanuts, and nachos.
There will also be a contest to determine the "Fan of the Rally" hosted by Bank of America. The lucky winner will win four tickets to one game of the 2008 National League Division Series.
The Sunset gate and turnstiles will open at 5 PM; merchandise commemorating the title and anniversary will be on sale.
This season marks the third time in L.A. Dodger history that the Dodgers have advanced to the postseason three times in a five-year span, the first time since 1985.
Back in the '60s, when the league champion advanced directly to the World Series, the Dodgers played postseason ball in 1963, 1965, and 1966—winning two World Championships.
The '70s saw the introduction of the league championship series. Los Angeles advanced in 1974, 1977, and 1978. All three times L.A. won the NLCS but lost in the World Series.
In the '80s, the Dodgers appeared in the postseason in 1981, 1983, and 1985. They won it all in 1981, the last season of the record-breaking infield of Garvy, Lopes, Russell, and Cey.
Later on that decade, L.A. enjoyed a miracle season, lead by N.L. Most Valuable Player Kirk Gibson and N.L. Cy Young Award winner Orel Hershiser, winning the 1988 World Series over the Bash-Brother-led Oakland A's.
The '90s were not overly kind to the Dodgers, as they advanced only in 1995 and 1996, lead by the power bats of Mike Piazza and Eric Karros.
This decade has seen Los Angeles advance in 2004, 2006, and now this season, the first under Joe Torre.
