Talk Is Cheap: Amare Comments on Al Horford and Upcoming Game With The Hawks
We as fans have witnessed the progression of trash talking in the game of basketball and for the most part it has proved to be pretty entertaining to the majority.
But, when the player says things like "He don't want to see me" about another player who has in fact seen him twice this season and won on both occasions, it brings forth a little skepticism of the merit of those comments.
Amare Stoudemire has not been biting his tongue much this season when it has come to teams in the East that rank higher and are overall better than his new home team.
"Nobody's afraid of Miami Heat", were words that festered in the minds of Miami Heat fans everywhere. Thankfully enough, his words are not shadowed by the actual season because collectively teams attempt less shots against the Miami Heat than others.
So, statistically, someone is scared of the Heat.
Stoudemire has been quoted most recently as saying, "He don't want to see me. I watched him play in college in Florida, and I've seen him play a few years in Atlanta," about Atlanta Hawks Center-Forward Al Horford.
The statement is almost laughable because New York has not yet managed to beat the Atlanta Hawks. This could also be a little more fuel to the fire that was left burning from a fight that sparked between Marvin Williams and Shawne Williams.
It will undoubtedly be very interesting to see how each side will react to it all, especially because of Stoudemire's toe injury that almost took him out and still leaves him unsure about playing in the All Star Game.
I doubt that the Knicks will be able to dominate the Hawks with Horford on the court but wishful thinking never hurt anybody.
