Cooper Flagg Meets Owner of Ultra Rare NBA Debut Patch Autograph Card in Video Amid $2M+ Auction

The man who pulled Cooper Flagg's one-of-one, autographed, debut patch Topps Chrome rookie card last month met the Dallas Mavericks superstar himself this past weekend.

In a video posted on Instagram, Jason Williams of Clover, South Carolina, documented his trip to Bangor, Maine, for the grand opening of Flagg Trading Co. card shop on Saturday.

The video shows Flagg and Williams meeting, and Flagg congratulating Williams for the card pull of a lifetime.

Williams brought the redemption card with him and let Flagg hold it, prompting Flagg to joke that he was going to keep it.

On Aug. 28, Fanatics Collect announced that the Flagg debut patch card pulled by Williams would be going up for auction on its platform:

As of the morning of Sept. 15, the gem mint 10 card had received 36 bids and was sitting at $2.2 million on the Fanatics Collect platform.

Flagg, 19, burst onto the scene last season after going first overall to the Mavs in the 2025 NBA draft.

On the heels of one dominant collegiate season at Duke, Flagg did not disappoint during his NBA debut campaign, averaging 21.0 points, 6.7 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 1.2 steals and 1.0 three-pointer made per game en route to Rookie of the Year honors.

While his debut patch rookie card is set to realize a huge number at auction, the value will likely only continue to grow provided Flagg lives up to his potential and keeps developing into one of the NBA's elite players.
