WWE: 10 Greatest Feuds of the Post-Attitude Era
Before I get into the slideshow, I want to establish what exactly I mean by "Post-Attitude Era."
The Post-Attitude Era is from 2001-08.
Now, I would say we are in the "PG Era", and while it is technically after the Attitude Era, I won't be including any of feuds from lately, such as Triple H vs. Sheamus, John Cena vs. The Nexus or even The Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels.
Remember, 2001-08, if it's not in that time range, then it's not going to be in here.
Everyone is going to have their own opinion, and I'm sure some of you will disagree completely with this list, while others will agree. Read through and let's hear what you have to say in the comments.
Kurt Angle vs. Brock Lesnar
1 of 11
At the time, the current UFC mega-star, was just a rookie in WWE, but already an established star, as Lesnar had one of the quickest rises to the top in WWE.
The feud produced a WrestleMania match that, in my opinion, is one of the best WrestleMania sleeper matches of all-time. Meaning that it is commonly overlooked when talking about the "best WrestleMania matches of all-time."
Hulk Hogan vs. Andre the Giant, Hulk Hogan vs. the Ultimate Warrior, The Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels and Shawn Michaels vs. Chris Jericho are all common picks, however, Kurt Angle vs. Brock Lesnar, the WrestleMania 19 main event, was simply put, a great match.
Kane vs. The Undertaker
2 of 11
Not the most recent one, and not the 1997 one, but the 2004 feud, most recognizable by their bout at WrestleMania 20 at Madison Square Garden.
Now, this didn't produce any amazing matches, but The Undertaker returning as The Deadman at WrestleMania 20 was one of the best moments in Post-Attitude Era history, so I knew that whatever feud he was a part of when that happened would make this list.
I know this will receive some heat in the comments, but I am ready to defend my choice here.
Chris Jericho vs. John Bradshaw Layfield

JBL had a pretty bad final run with WWE, however, his feud with Chris Jericho from late-2007 through early-2008 was great.
The matches may not have been top-notch, but the promos that were cut were amazing. You have Chris Jericho and JBL, two of the best talkers of their time, in a feud together. That makes for very nice TV.
Also, their match at the 2008 Royal Rumble was one of the last true bloodbaths in WWE before the PG Era began.
The Undertaker vs. Edge
4 of 11
This feud was simply fun to watch.
It made for great TV leading up to WrestleMania 24, and the match itself at the big pay-per-view, not only did not disappoint, but was a great match itself.
I remember the Road to WrestleMania 24 being one of the best Road to WrestleManias ever, and this feud was a big reason for that.
Edge vs. Batista
5 of 11
This was SmackDown's number one story line for a good portion of 2007, and although at times it seemed dragged out, in hindsight, it was played out pretty well.
This is the greatest feuds, though, not the best matches, so more importantly than having one great match, was the fact that it made SmackDown very interesting for it's duration.
And although the matches were not going to win any awards, their Steel Cage Match at One Night Stand was very good.
John Cena vs. Kurt Angle
6 of 11
This feud will go down as one of the best of the Post-Attitude Era.
Unlike some of the others on this list, this feud did produce some amazing matches. Their WWE Championship Match at Unforgiven comes to mind, along with the Taboo Tuesday Triple-Threat Match featuring John Cena, Kurt Angle and Shawn Michaels.
Rob Van Dam vs. John Cena
7 of 11
This one I doubt anyone thinks should not be on this list.
Rob Van Dam was one of the few ECW originals who found real success in WWE, and he has since gone down as one of the best of all-time.
At One Night Stand in 2006, they had an amazing Extreme Rules Match for the WWE Championship, which Rob Van Dam won.
This feud didn't last very long at all, but that doesn't mean it was bad by any means.
DX vs. The McMahons
8 of 11
DX has had a few runs in WWE, but this one has got to be the funniest.
They had matches with Vince and Shane McMahon themselves, and The Spirit Squad on behalf of the McMahons.
Like a few other feuds on this list, the matches were not the best, but with DX's mic work and the McMahons' and the Spirit Squad's hate-ability, this made for a ton of great WWE TV moments.
The Rock vs. Hulk Hogan
9 of 11
How can this possibly go wrong?
You have two of, if not the two, best wrestlers of all-time in the same ring, of course it is going to be amazing.
Their WrestleMania XIX match was awesome, and although the feud was pretty short, it was still great.
The Undertaker vs. Batista
10 of 11
This may not be a conventional pick, and some of of you may debate this in the comments, but this feud was played out great.
From The Undertaker's 2007 Royal Rumble win, to their WrestleMania 23 World Heavyweight Championship Match, to their Steel Cage Match on SmackDown, to The Undertaker's return later that year, to their Hell in a Cell Match at Survivor Series. Absolutly every aspect of this was great.
