More Random Facts:
Nebraska is 57-18 in Big 12 North play.
They were the Big 12 North division winners in 1996, 1997, 1999, 2006, 2009, and 2010.
In 2000, 2001, and 2008, they tied as the leader in the North division. However, Kansas State, Colorado, and Missouri played in the CCG those years, respectively. This is due to those teams defeating Nebraska the year they won the division.
They have appeared in the Big 12 CCG six times and have won twice.
Nebraska is 26-25 in Big 12 South play.
If you combine the series records of Nebraska against Baylor, the South team they never lost to, and Nebraska against Texas, the South team that beat them nine times out of ten, you get 9-9.
Despite the fact that the South has won the CCG quite a bit more often than the North, three teams in their division have never gotten an opportunity to play in the game—Baylor, OSU, and TTU. Only two in the North have never played in it—Iowa State and Kansas.
