Pele: Manchester City New Boy Robinho Needs Counselling ...
On the last day of the transfer window, Manchester City stunned the world by capturing long term Chelsea target Robinho for £32.4 million.
According to reports, his move to Manchester City has not gone down well in his home country and Pele claimed that Chelsea were lucky to miss out on the signing of Robinho because he says his fellow Brazilian "needs counselling".
Reports say that the main perception of the Brazilian people is that he joined the Eastland club for a " fat, juicy contract".

However, as I understood things, Robinho was left with no choice. Chelsea refused to match Real Madrid's asking price and Real Madrid refused to accept Chelsea's bid.
That left the whole deal in stalemate and with both sides determined not give in, Manchester City came in out of nowhere and stole the show.
New City owners, ADUG ( who bought the club earlier that day) threw £32.4m at Real Madrid and that was much higher than Chelsea's 24M, so it was quite frankly a no brainer as far as Real Madrid were concerned.
Pele, however, is not convinced that this is all there was to it.
"Chelsea are lucky. This boy needs some serious counselling. In my view he has been badly advised," Pele said.
His view was echoed by a few other people. Marcelo Teixeira, the president of Santos where both Pele and Robinho started their careers, said:
"This is one of the most disgraceful episodes in Brazilian football. He is a player who is an idol to children, an example. But he has not acted like one."
And Santos general manager, Jose Fernandos, added: "We are ashamed at having produced such a player."
Clearly these people think that something else went down that we're not being told. Did Robinho really choose Manchester City over Chelsea? Did Real Madrid really refuse Chelsea's bid?
I mean, we only know what we are told right? Suppose both bids were accepted and Manchester City's money was just too tempting for Robinho!
Former Real Madrid president Wanderley Luxemburgo has also voiced his concerns over Robinho's choice-making:
"I was quite shocked by the news, the media was talking about moving to Chelsea but he finally moved to Manchester City."
"If you want to become the best, you need a team with possibilities to shine and I don't think City will achieve that this season."
"I don't know if his football or his career will go back at Manchester City. It depends on the plan the club set. If they build a big team, that's fine."
"The problem is, they don't seem to be building a big team." Luxemburgo said.
All this leaves us no better off than when we first learned of Robinho's move to City.
What really happened between Chelsea, Real Madrid, and Manchester City?
