NHL: Montreal Canadiens Defeat Boston Bruins in an All-Out Shoot Fest
The Montreal Canadiens visited the Boston Bruins at the Garden.
The Bruins just came off a wild night in Pittsburgh after they came back from a two-goal deficit to win it 7-4 in the third period. With the effort that they put in, you wonder if fatigue would be a factor.
The Canadiens have been playing in a bit of a slump having only won 2 of the last 5 games, but their last win just came against the Vancouver Canucks on Tuesday.

Tuukka Rask was looking for his first win of the season after going 0-3-1.
First Period
PK Subban got his first career regular season goal after Tomas Plekanec passed cross ice right to Subban on the left point. Subban ripped a 50 footer right past Rask to open up the scoring. Habs 1-0.
Chara got the game knotted at one with a pass from Milan Lucic, who played keep away for an extended time and drew some Habs players to him. Lucic passed it to a pinching Chara who roofed it from the short side.
PK Subban has shown that he is done playing in the AHL. His strong play on the puck and the ability to keep players off him and play the puck with one hand on his stick.
Second Period
Jeff Halpern seemed to have gotten the Habs ahead, but the replay shown that he clearly redirected his left skate to the net as the puck struck it and the goal was disallowed.
At the end of the period, Chara was called for Interference with just seven seconds left of the period and the B's ended up on the PK going into the final frame.
Brad Marchand is showing examples in each game that belongs in the Bruins lineup as he was on a 5 game point streak (two goals and three assists). His role as an agitator is working well and he has shown his skill and speed as he creates turnovers, odd man rushes and breakaways.
Final Frame
Brian Gionta made the Bruins pay. Mike Cammalleri passed in front of the net to Gionta who one-times it past Rask's right side to put the Habs in the lead. Habs 2-1.
The Bruins are getting their chances, but nothing doing on Carey Price. Price was limiting the rebounds to give the Bruins any chance to get their game going.
Scott Gomez got his first goal in 14 games as a poor line change. Gomez skated from Rask's right to left getting the puck to backhand it just good enough for it to trickle in. Habs 3-1.
Post Game
Attack, Attack, Attack:
The Canadiens really poured it on and attacked the Bruins net with unrelenting pressure.
No rest for the wicked:
The Bruins had to travel back to home from a game they played the night before to take on a well rested team was a factor.
Pay the Price:
In two ways; Carey Price saved 34 of 35 shots from the Bruins and he really kept good control of the puck. The other way was on the penalty. Of the three Montreal goals, two of them were on the power play.
Rask doesn't get the win again and now has a 0-4-1 record. It seems that every time that Rask is in net, the Bruins aren't producing for him as he played a stellar game as well having stopped 38 of 41 shots.
Next up for the Bruins are the Ottawa Senators on Saturday, November 13th at the Garden. When last these two teams met, Boston blanked Ottawa 4-0 at the Scotiabank Center. Since that game, the Sens won 4 of their games but were badly beaten tonight at the hands of the Canucks.
