The Brad Childress and Brett Favre Saga Continues
After a hard loss against rival NFC North opponent Green Bay Packers and a 2-4 start, the Minnesota Vikings are looking to rebound.
But things will be tough after quarterback Brett Favre injured his ankle against the Packers. Reports coming out today say that Favre has two fractures in his ankle.
Dr. Kaplan of ESPN told reporters that this injury was very serious, but with Favre’s streak of consecutive games he could still play.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Favre has played 291 regular season games in a row and looks like an immortal human being on the field.
But maybe he will sit after another game with multiple interceptions.
Brad Childress, coach of the Vikings, was displeased with Favre’s interceptions. He had some words after the game for Favre, “You can’t throw it to them, you’ve got to play within the confines of our system. Sometimes it’s OK to punt the football. You can’t give seven points going the other way, not in a game like this.”
If you look into that quote, Childress doesn’t seem happy with Favre at all. After six games Favre has thrown 10 interceptions, three more than his magnificent 2009 year.
Unfortunately for Favre, his team isn’t doing too hot either, with a record of 2-4. After a season where they lost in the NFC Championship game in overtime to the Super Bowl champion New Orleans Saints, this season had lofty expectations.
So what will happen this year for the Vikings? Are the playoffs even a question? What will happen with Favre for the rest of the season? Will this drama continue between Favre and Childress?
First off, the playoffs seem like a slight possibility for the Vikings.
As of right now the Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers are tied for first in the NFC North with a record of 4-3.
So I wouldn’t count out the Vikings, but with the recent play of the team it will be tough.
They are going to have to beat some conference opponents such as the Bears and Packers.
As for the Favre situation, he will probably miss a game or two. Of course, Favre will want to play but Childress probably won’t let him, maybe even sending him a slight message, saying I am the coach of this team and not Favre.
The Favre-Childress drama seems like it is a very silent kind of drama. Not too much media play involved, but it seems like things get pretty dicey with them two.
Last year there was some drama with Childress and Favre regarding the play calling.
Favre was angry with Childress’ conservative play calling and took it out on him on the sideline.
Both said it was a misunderstanding and the year went pretty well after that spat.
But this year might be different.
Favre is getting older and just wants to win a super bowl, by forcing things, while Childress wants to keep things conservative after Favre’s miscues this season.
But considering how terrible the teams in the NFC Northare playing, the Vikings could still turn around the season and make the playoffs.
