Ronaldinho To Rejoin Brazilian National Team
One thousand and sixty seven. That is how many days it has been since Ronaldinho last scored for the Brazilian national team. It seems hard to believe that a player of his quality and ability could fall off so fast.
We see it all the time with Brazilian players, so many in fact it led me to label these as players who suffer from Brazilian superstar disease. They become too good to replace and too much of problem to be used.
Every so often, however, people do overcome this problem, and Ronaldo is an example. Ronaldinho is about to get his opportunity and I really hope he makes the best of it because I am afraid it may be the last straw if he fails again.

New Brazilian manager Mano Menezes stayed in Europe after last week's friendly versus the Ukraine with the specific intention to watch the top Brazilian players in Europe.
Mano gave an interview to Italian paper Corriere dello Sport where he made it very clear "He (Ronaldinho) can probably play already in the game versus Argentina (Nov. 17). He would help as a go between the mid field between Pato and Robinho." Mano made these claims shortly after watching Milan defeat Chievo Verona this weekend.
Mano continued "I really think he has the conditions to perform this task and deserves our confidence."
Ronaldinho was a victim of both the Dunga system and his own batch of Brazilian superstar disease. He seems to be getting a second chance, likely due to his potential play in the 2012 Olympics, and the world really deserves to see him play again with the confidence we saw shine in 2002.
