WWE Night Of Champions Results: 10 Things We Learned From Dolph Ziggler's Win
What did we learn from Dolph Ziggler's win over Kofi Kingston at Night of Champions? I've put together a list of 10 things we learned from this one match. Now although the title says what we've learned from Dolph's win, it's not about his win in particular, but the match as a whole, so there are some slides about Kofi, some about Dolph, maybe Vickie will even make a surprise appearance.
Vickie Guerrero Is Just That Good
1 of 11
Ok, this one isn't Dolph himself, but Vickie added so much to this match and even the whole feud between Dolph and Kofi Kingston. She came out in the beginning of the segment and got the crowd all pumped up for the upcoming match, no one can work a mic like her. So, yes, the title of the slide is right, Vickie really is that good.
Kofi Kingston Is a "Show Opener"

You need to open the show with someone good, someone the crowd likes, to start the show on a good note. The catch is you can't open the show with the biggest match of the night. Kofi is that guy. The crowd loves him, he can kick the show off in a good way, and he, obviously, is not in the biggest match of the night.
Dolph Is a Great Wrestler
3 of 11
He really is. He pulled off some amazing moves in the match, and also added in a good number of wrestling holds (like the Sleep Hold, but that's the next slide...). His in ring ability is really great, it really is that plain and simple.
The Sleeper Hold Is Still Great
4 of 11
It's a classic move, but this isn't the 60s and 70s anymore, fans want high-octane action, not a half hour match with arm bars, leg scissors, and chin locks. But, the Sleeper Hold is still a great move that the fans love to see and Dolph adopting it as his signature move is great.
Dolph Is a Future Main Eventer
5 of 11
He really is a great wrestler, he is great on the mic, so, logically, he will, in the future, be in the main event scene. There isn't a whole lot to say, he is good at what he does, he will excel.
Kofi Kingston Also Is a Future Main Eventer

Kofi is also an amazing wrestler, and, although not as good as Dolph on the mic, does have alright mic skills. The current batch of main eventers won't last forever (unless they all carry the Ric Flair gene), so when they go, guys like Kofi and Dolph will rise up.
This Match Can Main Event WrestleMania 30
7 of 11
Now, I just said Dolph is a future main eventer, as is Kofi, so, why not? This match was a great match no matter how look at it. So, maybe, just maybe, these two guys will main event WrestleMania in a few years for the WWE Championship.
Kofi Kingston Has The Best Dropkick in WWE
8 of 11
Ok, this isn't about Dolph at all, but I had to mention it. I mean, talk about a high vertical, in all my years of watching wrestling, Kofi Kingston has the best dropkick I've ever seen. And the the Dropkick is a common move, you see it every night, so having the best is saying something.
The Intercontinental Championship Means Something Again
9 of 11
Two years ago the title meant nothing. Umaga (rest in peace) was parading around with the thing in mouth. Now, if you disagree feel free to debate in the comments, but if you ask me, having a 300 pound Samoan eat the championship doesn't exactly scream "This title has prestige!". But here we are in 2010 and WWE really has made the title worth something again, they are having nice, long feuds over the title, and those feuds are turning out great matches, like the one we saw at Night of Champions.
Dolph Ziggler Can Carry A Match
10 of 11
Now, I am not saying Kofi didn't hold his own, he more than did his fair share, but I really do think Dolph carried this match. And that's a good thing, it shows that Dolph really is good in the ring.
