Kansas Lineman Jordon McCallister
In recent years the state of Kansas has been growing as a football state. Last year rivals #1 overall player Bryce Brown came from Wichita. Though overlooked for many years the state is starting to show they are a force to be reckoned with when it comes to football talent. Early in the summer recruiting process many of the top prospects have committed to Big12, and Mountain West schools. Then their is 6'3 300lb Junction City, Ks lineman Jordon McCallister. From his freshman summer to now McCallister has dominated camp after camp, and caught the attention of many big time schools. During these camps he has had the difficult task of blocking big name recruits like OU commit Jordan Phillips and UT commit Desmond Jackson, and earning the respect of both players. During KU's Friday night lights Jordon vs Jordan stole the show. Both linemen performed well with Jordon McCallister getting the best of Jordan Phillps. Both players showed a great respect for one another, and brought plenty of excitement to the event. Currently McCallister patiently awaits his first offer, which according to sites like rivals, espnu, and scout will happen in the near future and many will follow. With McCallister's highlight tape now beginning to make its rounds to various schools the buzz about the underrated Kansas kid will rapidly grow. Standing at 6'3 McCallister plays any position from guard, tackle, and center. The next level he will most likely be a center or guard and has the ability to dominate at either position. Entering his senior year at Junction City Highschool, McCallister will be a workhorse playing Oline, and Dline. Though a great Offensive lineman, Jordon says he loves the Dline just as much and is ready to show that he can play both sides of the ball. Currently McCallister lists the following school as schools showing interest, Kansas State, Kansas, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Michigan State, UCLA, Stanford, Vanderbilt, Colorado State, Missouri State, and Tennesse. Currently McCallister likes K State, Michigan State, and KU, but he made it clear that he is open and would love to hear from any school that is interested. McCallister also would like to hear from Mountain West Schools like TCU and new member Boise St. With his senior year nearing McCallister says he is in great shape and ready to get out there and showcase his skills on the field. McCallister is a great student, phenomenal football player, and a high character kid. Schools around the nation in need of a total package offensive or defensive lineman should give this lineman a long look, he is a solid player that has a great chance to excel at the collegiate level.
