WWE NXT Nexus : What To Do With Those Seven New Raw Stars?
Dan PowerJun 23, 2010
Some might argue that seven new wrestlers suddenly added on the Raw roster could be too much and not a good thing.
In my opinion, however, seven new talents on Monday nights might be a very good thing, if handled well by the creative team.
Probably no one will disagree about NXT Nexus being a promising story-line, but with the group already stalling, what can we expect and hope? Their segments, with their 7-on-1 attacks, is quickly becoming old.

If the current angle doesn't change pace soon, what has been the shocker of 2010 might become the flop of the year.
But enough negativity now; allow me to speculate about the post-''NXT Invasion'', because it won't last forever and the suspense surrounding who is the mastermind will end sooner or later.
So, what to do with those rookies in a future not so far away?
Using them to start fresh new feuds
The current NXT Nexus angle is not only good for the present; it is good for the future too.
We are all eager to see who is the one pulling the stable's strings and to see what they will do next, but they will also plant the seeds for upcoming feuds with the current Raw roster.
In addition, the group will explode and there is nothing better than such a division to create grueling feuds. From the current clan, we can see brand new alliances and tag teams.
Forming new Tag Teams
With seven young and promising stars, it would make sense to extract two or three new legit tag teams from the stable. It is the best opportunity for WWE to really revamp the tag team division.
It's not necessary to get NXT Nexus-exclusive duos, but some of them might team up with their pros or with any other wrestler on the roster. In fact, there will be almost infinite possibilities and it will be time for testing new pairs.
With the Usos, the Hart Dynasty and Kozlov-Santino, a few additional tag teams in a near future could finally bring interesting tag team action.
Jobbing to the current rising stars
Evan Bourne, John Morrison, The Miz, Ted DiBiase and Sheamus, only to name a few of the Raw rising stars, will need to be put over to replace the veterans.
And what is better than fresh meat to do so?
Chris Jericho and William Regal can't always be jobbers. The NXT rookies could do great in that role; there is no need to rush and to throw them in the top-card. They still have a lot to learn and there is nothing better than jobbing to the best.
It won't be a bad thing neither to have them jobbing to the big names, such as John Cena, Edge and Jericho, instead of getting R-Truth or Santino as bottom food for those icons.
Using them to improve the quality of the WWE product
That point is not exactly an actual way to use the NXT invaders, but a general statement.
By having more wrestlers on the roster, the competition factor will come in play. And what is better to get the best from everyone than competition?
We have seen what the WWE could do when they were in the Monday Night War era; the product suddenly became outsdanding due to the competition with WCW. The same could happen within WWE overall.
If the roster's size is still the same in the coming months, every wrestler will want to get and keep their TV time, so they will do everything to shine more than the others; the performance level might increase significantly.
I'd like to hear from you.
What is the future of the NXT Nexus members?
What new tag teams would you form with them?
