What Sets Good Teams Apart From Average Teams Besides Roster Talent?
Good teams rarely have poor coaches. Great teams never do. A quick observation around the league shows that the great coaches all have something in common. They are creative. Look at the example that the Patriots have set. Using players outside of their position has always paid off for them. With that being said, what creativity has "Jimmy" shown. Let me say that I like him a lot as a coach and believe the lions were lucky to get him. But lets look at some possibilities that I think could make since.
#1 One of our D-tackles benched pressed a ton last off season. I think it was Fluellen. If He is that strong, and is familiar with playing defense in the trenches, but has not been succesfful at it, why not considering moving him to the 0-line as a guard?

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
#2 If we do keep all 4 our our "starting" Lbs, why not use Petterson more often as a De which is a position of weakness for this team? If Lb is a strength, but we can only normally have 3 our that at a time in our 4-3 scheme, we have to get our best players on the field more often somehow, so this just makes sense to me.
#3 Wr's are not known to make a lot of big hits. Because of that, injuries aren't a major concern to safety's. So... remember back when we were making sure to get our first win last year, we put CJ in the game as a Safety. Why not do that a little more often. With his combination of size, speed, strength, hands and agility, He would be a beast in the secondary. I am not saying make him play both sides on a regular basis, but a quick change up to surprise the other team may be a good idea.
#4 With the large attraction for the wildcat offense, why cant the lions do something with it? Cj or Aaron Brown, or even Derrick Williams may by able to pull it off.
#5 I know Vick wants to be a qb, and he will prob get a shot somewhere to start. But if for some reason he doesn't like any of those opportunities, does anyone think it might be a good idea to let him come and be a KR for us? He could also be used as a wildcat player, slot receiver, and even some rb. If he is not desired due to his age, maturity, or regressing skills, maybe someone like him is available in the draft this year. I am not for the small little "lightening bug" type players like Sprolles, but at the right price a guy like him or Dexter Mccluster could add a lot of dimensions to our team.
