NBA Rumors: Latest Buzz on Tyronn Lue, Mike Brown and Warriors' Draft Plans
While the focus of the basketball world has been on the pursuit of a championship inside the Walt Disney World Resort bubble for months, next season will gradually come into focus as teams prepare for the draft and potential free-agent moves.
Some teams, such as the Los Angeles Clippers, still need a head coach.
With that in mind, here is a look at some of the latest buzz from around the league as the draft and a busy offseason approach.

Warriors Reportedly Targeting Versatile Wing Defender in Draft
To say the Golden State Warriors are in a different position than most teams with the No. 2 overall pick in the NBA draft would be a massive understatement.
After all, they entered the 2019-20 campaign coming off five straight NBA Finals appearances and still have many key pieces of that championship core in place with Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green and head coach Steve Kerr.
The campaign did not go as planned with Thompson sidelined by an ACL tear and Curry out for all but five games with a broken hand, but there is plenty of reason for optimism moving forward. That trio of playmakers will be back, and the team has an opportunity to add a difference-maker in the draft.
Along those lines, Connor Letourneau of the San Francisco Chronicle reported the Warriors like Florida State's Devin Vassell enough to either pick him No. 2 overall or trade down and target him later.
It is no surprise the Warriors like someone who can hit from the outside (41.7 percent from three in his collegiate career) and defend a number of positions as a versatile forward who is athletic enough to keep up with ball-handlers and tall enough at 6'7" to stick with many forwards.
Andre Iguodala was a versatile defensive forward who fit in perfectly alongside Curry, Thompson and Green.
While expecting Vassell to live up to those expectations may be asking for too much early in his career, there is a blueprint in place for the 20-year-old if the Warriors do draft him.
Clippers Reportedly Interested in Mike Brown
Whoever takes over as the head coach of the Clippers will be tasked with helping the team overcome a shocking collapse.
L.A. was arguably the most talented team in the league and appeared well on its way to a Western Conference Finals showdown with the Los Angeles Lakers. Instead, the team blew a 3-1 lead to the Denver Nuggets in the second round of the playoffs and moved on from Doc Rivers in the aftermath.
Enter Mike Brown as a potential candidate for the head coaching position.
According to Marc Stein of the New York Times, the Warriors assistant coach "made a strong impression on the Clippers in his interview and is an emerging candidate."
Stein explained Tyronn Lue was seen as an early favorite to replace Rivers, but he is scheduled to meet with the Houston Rockets for their vacancy.
Lue would have some familiarity with the roster seeing how he was an assistant coach for the Clippers, but it is a notable development when paired with the update on Brown.
The 50-year-old has coached the Cleveland Cavaliers and Lakers in his career and owns a 347-216 career record. He led the Cavs to the 2007 NBA Finals with LeBron James spearheading the effort on the court and has been with the Warriors the past four years, two of which saw the team win the championship.
The roster is in place for the Clippers to challenge for an NBA Finals berth, and Brown is someone who has done just that as a coach.
