Yankees News: Gleyber Torres Expected to Return This Weekend from Injury
The New York Yankees have been playing without Aaron Judge, Giancarlo Stanton and Gleyber Torres because of injuries, but they will reportedly receive a much-needed boost to the lineup in the near future.
According to Bryan Hoch of MLB.com, the Yankees expect shortstop Torres to return to his spot in the lineup by Saturday or Sunday against the Baltimore Orioles.
However, manager Aaron Boone said Stanton is "a ways away."

Garrett Stepien of SNY noted Torres has been on the injured list since Aug. 21 with a Grade 1 strain in his left hamstring but expressed optimism about his pending availability.
"I'm feeling pretty good, almost ready," Torres said. "I do what I do in the rehab and stuff—bases, exercise, everything. I just need field at-bats, see real pitchers and I think that is what I need to get ready to get back with the team."
Torres has played 24 games this year and is slashing .231/.341/.295 with one home run and six RBI.
The two-time All-Star helped carry the team last year during a stretch of injuries by slashing .278/.337/.535 with 38 home runs and 90 RBI.
New York is chasing the Tampa Bay Rays in the American League East and just lost two of three head-to-head matchups from Monday through Wednesday. A healthy Torres would make the Yankees' task of catching the Rays much more realistic.
