Tim Tebow's Mom Pamela Says She Wants to See Son in MLB in TMZ Interview
With Tim Tebow enjoying an All-Star season in Double-A, his mother said she is hoping he soon receives a call to join the New York Mets in the majors.
During an interview with TMZ Sports on Tuesday, Pamela Tebow said, "We're partial, so we would vote for him to go up to the majors, but it's not up to us."
Additionally, she touched on what went into her son's decision to pursue baseball after his NFL career stalled:

Yankees Call Up 6'7" Prospect 📈
"Timmy never had any bitterness. He had such a great attitude, because he believed it was God's plan for him. And then, we just all supported him because he still had a competitive drive. And he just still wanted to play ball. So baseball was second, so why not try it?
"I think he's an example for all the little boys that maybe are afraid to try something because people don't think they'll succeed. So, you don't make it? At least you tried. That's what his main purpose is; he really wants to be a good example for them."
This season, the 30-year-old Tebow is hitting .270 with five home runs, 33 RBI and 28 runs scored for the Binghamton Rumble Ponies.
Last season was his first full campaign as a minor league baseball player, and he has made significant strides since then, as he hit just .226 with eight homers, 52 RBI and 50 runs scored in 126 games split between A and High-A ball.
At 36-53, the Mets are 14.5 games out of first place in the National League East, and it seems highly unlikely they have a playoff run in them this season.
Calling up Tebow once would have been considered a publicity stunt, but given the combination of his age and production, it is now a move that makes sense from a baseball perspective as well.
