Cowboys Rumors: Randy Gregory to Apply for NFL Reinstatement
Dallas Cowboys defensive end Randy Gregory is reportedly expected to apply for reinstatement to the NFL by next week, according to Kate Hairopoulos and Jori Epstein of the Dallas Morning News.
Gregory has been suspended three times for violating the NFL's substance-abuse policy, including a one-year ban that caused him to miss the 2017 season.
Per Hairopoulos and Epstein, Gregory is hopeful he'll be reinstated in time to take part in training camp in July.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has a positive outlook on Gregory based on comments he made Wednesday: "He's being very diligent in preparing his information and preparing his application. I have been proud of Randy during this offseason. I'm very aware of how hard he's working to get back in the league and get back on the field."
Dallas selected Gregory in the second round of the 2015 NFL draft out of Nebraska, but due to multiple suspensions, he has appeared in just 14 regular-season games.
In those games, Gregory registered 20 tackles and one sack.
The Cowboys have a strong group of defensive ends that includes Demarcus Lawrence, Tyrone Crawford, Kony Ealy and 2017 first-round pick Taco Charlton.
Dallas was only in the middle of the pack (tied for 15th) with 38 sacks last season, however, meaning there could be value in Gregory's potential return as a situational pass-rusher.
