Not only is Victor Oladipo one of the NBA's rising stars and face of the Indiana Pacers, he's also a good dude.

Carrie Kirk, the mother of 10-year-old Cameron, who has leukemia, posted a letter on Twitter the All-Star guard sent to her son last month:

I recently heard about your battle with Leukemia, and I just wanted to encourage you to stay strong! I know this is a scary and very frustrating time right now, but you must believe in yourself and everyone around you that is helping you through this time.

May God give you the strength, comfort, and special blessings that you need as you face each new day. No matter the road you are given, remember to never give up. You never know what God has planned or your life.

I wish you all the best through your treatment and encourage you to keep a positive attitude and listen to your doctors, nurses and parents—they are there to help you win this battle! All my teammates and I are #CameronStrong!

Cameron thanked Oladipo in an interview with WISH-TV, saying it was "really cool."

"I was already a fan and then when I read the letter, it's the best feeling to know that someone so important took the time out to write our son a letter and then expressed his faith in God in his letter," Carrie said. "That just sealed the deal with us with Oladipo. We'll always be fans."

Oladipo just finished his first season with the Pacers, scoring 23.1 points, 5.2 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game. He played college basketball at Indiana from 2010 to 2013.

Cameron was diagnosed with leukemia in April and is expected to undergo treatment for the next three years.
