Neymar Reportedly Valued at €260M Amid Real Madrid Meeting Rumours
Real Madrid would reportedly have to pay €260 million (£227 million) this summer if they want to sign Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar.
According to Fernando Kallas of AS, PSG would want an increase on the world-record €222 million (£194 million) they spent to land the Brazilian from Barcelona last summer.
It's added Neymar recently met with Madrid-bound starlet Vinicius Junior in Brazil, where a club delegate was also present. "No one can know that I'm back in Rio [de Janeiro]," the Madrid representative is reported to have said, per Kallas.

Sergio Gomez of AS suggested that Madrid have stepped up their interest in Neymar, with meetings said to have been held on a number of occasions:
Gomez said Neymar is unhappy with life in Ligue 1 after just one campaign in France and Neymar's advisors have made it known "he is tired of the aggressive tactics of opposition players (and referees' leniency with this), the poor condition of away pitches, and the requirement at PSG that the squad join up to stay overnight at a hotel on the eve of every match."
It's added Madrid are hopeful of getting the deal completed before the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, which begins on June 12.
Despite all the speculation about Neymar's future and discontent with life in the French capital, his debut season has been a prosperous one:

Unsurprisingly, the world's most expensive footballer has excelled in French football when he has been on the field.
Despite being out of action since February due to injury, Neymar has accrued 28 goals and 16 assists in all competitions for PSG. At times the 26-year-old appeared too good for Ligue 1, as he was able to consistently conjure moments of magic at the Parc des Princes.

The one blemish on Neymar's season has been PSG's failure to get beyond the last 16 of the UEFA Champions League. The Brazilian's injury came between the two legs of the tie against Madrid, with the French side losing 5-2 on aggregate.
There have been issues with team-mates earlier in the campaign, too, most notably the penalty dispute Neymar had with Edinson Cavani, as outlined by the Uruguayan:
After pulling off a massive coup to land Neymar last summer, it would be a big shock if PSG were willing to let him go for the price aforementioned. The Parisians will want the Brazilian to lead the team to a much-coveted Champions League prize in years to come.
However, speculation about Madrid's interest does seem to be intensifying as the summer comes closer into view, and Los Blancos do have a habit of spending big money in World Cup years. The chance to play for such a massive club in a league he's familiar with would also surely appeal to the Selecao sensation.
