Browns Trade TE Randall Telfer to Chiefs in Exchange for DE Dadi Nicolas
The Cleveland Browns agreed Wednesday to trade tight end Randall Telfer to the Kansas City Chiefs in exchange for defensive and Dadi Nicolas.
Telfer and Nicolas are both former sixth-round picks.
Telfer, who was drafted in 2015, has played in 30 games over his NFL career, including 19 starts. He started 14 games last season for the Browns but has been almost entirely used as a blocking option. The USC product has made just five receptions for 40 yards in his career.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Nicolas, who was part of the Chiefs' 2016 draft class, has appeared in 11 games during his NFL career—almost entirely as a special teamer. He missed the entire 2017 season due to a knee injury.
There's not all that much to say about this deal in terms of impact. The Chiefs and Browns are likely looking at players who were borderline for their 90-man roster, saw potential buy-low opportunities at positions of need and pounced.
Both players are going to have to majorly impress in camps to make their new respective teams. Nicolas will have to show explosion off the line to make it as a rotational defensive lineman and special teamer. Telfer's going to have to show he can do more than just competently block players.
But an NFL trade is an NFL trade, so there's a chance these guys wind up finding a way to excel in their new homes.
