Report: Unreported Incidents at LSU Contributed to Derrius Guice's Draft Slide
Former LSU Tigers running back Derrius Guice was viewed as a potential first-round pick, but he did not hear his name called until late in the second round at No. 59.
And those not inside of league circles are left wondering why.
According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, teams were turned off by the "immature" and "high-maintenance" Guice, with Mike Mayock (via Rapoport) saying teams are looking into an incident that happened during college that was not initially made public.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
One league source shared details of a red flag to Benjamin Allbright: "He got into an altercation at a meeting with the Eagles. He had several meetings where he came across lazy only wants to play video games. We caught a direct dishonesty from him in our meeting."
There was a report (h/t Pro Football Talk) earlier Friday night that TMZ Sports had a bombshell story on the prospect, although that was denied by TMZ executive producer Evan Rosenblum. ESPN's Todd McShay (h/t TheFootballGirl.com's Melissa Jacobs) reported that being late to meetings during the pre-draft process played a role in the slide.
It's not clear exactly what all of these alleged incidents included or how serious they were. However, teams appeared to be scared off by whatever the off-the-field issues are. As Ross Dellenger of The Advocate noted leading up to draft day, character issues were a concern for the former Tiger.
Bleacher Report's Matt Miller ranked the 5'11", 224-pound Guice as the second-best player at his position in this draft class. Ultimately, he was the seventh running back selected as Washington finally ended his free fall.
Guice is just 20 years old and has time to mature—and that's something Washington is banking on happening.
